4-4 in his last 8?
According to Dana, that should qualify him for a no. 1 contenders match against Brian Bowles cough, cough Urijah cough, cough

Faber did a hell of a lot better against Cruz than anyone else has, including Bowles.
What everyone needs to do is calm down, take a deep breath, and prepare their bodies for the Thunderdome.

Faber is a clear contender
His only losses have been to top tier competition.
Let the fighters fight, let the referees ref, but dear God, don't let the judges judge.
Is it just me or did that punch not look all that hard?

Bighead is the real deal though, Larson is tough but Davila is legit and has been in the game for years he deserves a shot in a big show

Davila is a solid yourneyman and thats about all , This is buy far the best Win of his career. I mean It was not to long ago he was getting choked out on a shark fights card buy a new fighter who had a 500 record at 2-2. Another good decent win over a name yes he deserves a chance but not yet in my opinion.
This.
In the post fight he said he was just gonna go home and sit n wait for a contract from either SF or UFC. I doubt that contract is coming.
Sometimes, these things happen in MMA

You don't seem to know a lot about the not so long ago fighter list for the UFC
Larson was really promising. GTFO
Let the fighters fight, let the referees ref, but dear God, don't let the judges judge.
Poor Larson
I remember when he only had 2 losses and thinking “nothing wrong with losing to Condit and Fitch”. Then he has back to back submission wins in the UFC, I thought he’d be a contender for sure. Hello Pierce, hello Foster. Goodbye UFC :(

That was another thing
I always (at the time) felt it was unfair that they were putting him on undercards. With his record and experience. At the time, lol.

Sure he had a very solid record and resume at that time but you have to remember they are in the business of selling fights and need exciting fights to happen and the % were not that good with Larson that a exciting fight would happen when he was going to fight. he was/is a very stale and lackluster fighter who I have no better words to say this boring.
Even in fights he got a sub or finish all he would do is keep going for a single leg takedown over and over while throwing no strikes, then ounce he got it down all he would do is pass and work from side control while not throwing many punches or strikes just looking over and over and over for a arm-Triangle Choke,Kimura,Key Lock, etc, I can see very easily from a business sence point of view why he was put on the undercard.

![Brock Larson reflects on his upset loss to Mike Pierce in an interview with MMA Junkie:
"I don't think the judges made the wrong call. They had to award him the win because the only thing that went on in the whole fight was takedowns, and he got them. I clearly lost the fight. Hats off to Pierce, but he has some issues to work on himself."
In the locker room after the fight, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva told Larson's manager, Monte Cox, "Don't worry about Brock. He's a fighter. We don't know what we're going to do with this other [expletive]. I don't know if I can watch another 15 minutes of that [expletive].".
"That was good to hear coming off a loss," Larson said. "In a weird way, that loss helps me, and it would have helped Pierce if he tried to be aggressive. Win, lose or draw, at least he's competing. People won't want to watch that stuff.
"I've always taken pride in going after and trying to finish my fights, and I get the upper hand always going after it and being aggressive. Pierce didn't have that attitude. He just wanted to eke out the win and get the [win].
"The W is important, but at the same time it's the entertainment business. People pay to watch, and they don't want to watch two guys hug belly buttons. Clay Guida, he makes more money on friggin' 'Fight of the Night' bonuses than he does on his fight wins."
"People look at film and say, 'This guy beat Brock? That's all he had to do,'" Larson said. "I have to get the Band-Aids out, cover that owie and not have to worry about that being a problem."](http://cdn1.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/84043/md97y25v01_small.jpg)
