Report: Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin Planned for UFC 137
Reports are in that Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin will be added to the UFC 137 card. The fight would take place at Feathwerweight, likely as a prelim. UFC has not yet confirmed the fight, although MMA Junkie has the report based on conversations with Palaszewski's management and a source close to Griffin.
This will mark Griffin's second fight back at Featherweight. Griffin was once considered a top Lightweight in the UFC, but three straight losses in the division cooled his momentum considerably. He made the drop down to 145 at UFC Live on Versus 4, defeating Manvel Gamburyan via majority decision in a very close contest. Griffin also started his career at Featherweight, where he was best known for being the only man to defeat former Featherweight kingpin Urijah Faber for the first five years of Faber's career.
Bart "Bartimus" Palaszewski will be making his Featherweight debut here. The journeyman fighter has nearly 50 fights to his credit, and has competed in numerous promotions throughout the US, with impressive runs in both the IFL and WEC. He was on a 4 fight win streak at Lightweight that included a WEC victory over Anthony Pettis before losing to Kamal Shalorus in December. This will be his UFC debut.
UFC 137 is scheduled for October 29 in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Georges St. Pierre vs. Nick Diaz.

I don't like him.
Everytime I watch the Gomi-fight I get mad at his post-fight behaviour.
he was mad because he thought he wasn't out
all fighters act like that remember when c.b. fought mark he was all mad turning red. he got the hammer put on him by mark.
I feel like Bart will be a pretty good underdog to put a few bucks on.

I haven’t been able to get excited for a Tyson Griffin fight for a while and this is no exception.
Sig betting against The-gentle-way is like playing Russian Roulette with a semi-automatic weapon. The only thing he knows more about than fighting is pleasing women, and my girlfriend is thankful for that.
its his schtick.
he’s a complete Buzzkill McDickintheass on the internet because he doesnt have the stones to be one in real life… or just doesnt have friends to do it to. - MMArazorback

It is not enough to succeed. Others must fail.
