English welterweight John Hathaway is apparently set to return on home soil. MMA Weekly reports that Hathaway will fight on the UFC 138 card in Birmingham, England on November 5th, but does not have an opponent as of yet. Here's what they had to say:
With the UFC 138 fight card in Birmingham, England, filling up, names are flying around thick and fast as they all vie for a slot on the bill, the latest of which is that of London Shootfighter John Hathaway. According to sources close to the situation, he has been selected to appear in a welterweight encounter against an opponent to be named.
The 24-year-old Hathaway (15-1, 5-1 UFC) rebounded from his his first career loss to Mike Pyle at UFC 120 with a split-decision win over Kris McCray at UFC Fight Night 24. Hathaway is currently ranked number 22 in the world according to the USA Today/BE consensus rankings.
