The UFC 133 nightmare will not end. I heard rumors that another body was pulling off the card earlier today, and it turns out the rumor was true. Tatame's Guilherme Cruz reports on Twitter:

BREAKING NEWS: Rogerio Nogueira injured, out of Rich Franklin fight at UFC 133

So now both the main and co-main event of UFC 133 have been messed up within a week. By Fightlinker's count, this marks the fifth bout that's been affected by injuries.

There's no official thus far on what happens to Franklin, and we're exactly three weeks out from the show. Perhaps they pull Alexander Gustafsson or Matt Hamill, who was called up after Vladimir Matyushenko pulled out with an injury, into a match with Franklin.

It wouldn't hurt to scratch Franklin, either. It sucks to lose the co-main, but Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama is an adequate fill-in. Plus, if Franklin doesn't mind waiting until early fall, it gives the UFC someone to match up with Lyoto Machida.

EDIT: Cruz mentions that the UFC offered the fight to Fabio Maldonado. Maldonado turned the fight down due to the short notice.
