MMAFighting is reporting that Shark Fights 17 appears to have lost its co-main event fight for tonight's card. Ricco Rodriguez has withdrawn from the card after his opponent didn't come anywhere near making the 230 lb. contracted catchweight. His opponent, Karl Knothe, apparently believed it was a regular heavyweight fight and came in at 253.75 lbs. Ricco was 227.75. Because of the difference, Rodriguez pulled out of the fight.
UPDATE - Rodriguez will meet Doug Williams (5-12) now.
