it's a good fight for sure.
Lombard fought Mousasi a while ago and didn’t do that poorly. I think he’s grown a lot since then, and Nate would be a good test. But I think he’s still looking to stay at 170.
Nate better be looking to fight whoever he can
He can fight ‘Hector’ in a super fight and compete in the WW tourney. Hell, he can probably compete in both tourneys.

Yeah, I think Marquardt can really cash out on Bellator. And fight only B – competition, much more winnable fights.

haha this was pretty cool.
I hope they get Marquardt into a tourney. It’d be great for Bellator in my opinion, as despite what people say, they’ll tune in to see him fight.
This is the guy in the 185 lb division who gives me nightmares.

Terrible match up for Lombard
he’s going to realize that weighing 185 in a lightweight frame is not a good idea.
I dunno
that’s exactly what Marquardt did.
Hector’s got Olympic Judo and a BJJ black belt. Its pretty even, IMO.

Not to mention atomic punches
I would love for Lombard to get some validation of his talents against Marquardt.

Lombard win's in the grappling department for sure
but Nate has the length and skill to keep it up.
Funny when Marquardt has fights against the likes of Yves and Shonie.
What everyone needs to do is calm down, take a deep breath, and prepare their bodies for the Thunderdome.

Yea Nate will circle away and tire Hector out all those muscles need a lot of oxygen

Lombard has pretty reasonable cardio considering how muscled up he is and he maintains quite a bit of power in his punches throughout the fight. Cardio good enough to strike and whatnot for three rounds. The best way to tire him out would be to force him to use straining muscle movements as opposed to ‘snappy’ (striking) movements. Nate would probably be better off going for takedowns or working the cage-clinch grind attack.
im gonna say that marquardt tears through him
the size difference is gonna be lop sided, even if marquardt has to put on the weight he just lost again, he’ll be even more cut. And i personally think he’d destroy Funky, just because of his lack of experience against highly decorated fighters as Nate.

Lombard redefines the term 'T-Rex arms'
At 67 inches, he’s got a shorter reach than Dominick Cruz, who fights four weight classes below him (although suddenly Wikipedia listed him at 73 inches, so I’m not sure what’s going on there).
I could really see Marquardt picking him apart, but I’m not completely sure because Okami was doing that very thing to Marquardt.
Nate’s kicks are going to be really dangerous for Hector.

Lombard hits like a cannon though
Wiki is confusing, anyway..
Nate’s problem is going to be regaining size, especially if he has.. hormonal issues.
but this would be a sweet fight to watch.
