I know you guys still don’t have iTunes podcast, but you used to be able to go to The Fan’s website and download the show. I tried it for last week’s and was unable to do so. I couldn’t even find the downloadable page, it just took me to that Radio.com thing.
AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, HE IS BROKEN IN HALF.
What happened to the itunes podcast anyway? I have a hard time keeping up without being able to listen a few days later

I like Sonnen now, I never care about him before. He has a fight style I don’t care for and I never paid much attention to his fights. Now I am very interested in who he fights and I am even more interested in listening to his trash talk.

I think Luke HAS to talk Brian Stann again
And how a mistake was actually made in quoting Stann on BE which Luke apologised for on SBNation. Nobody bats a thousand and it was good to see Luke take ownership of it.

Why shitty judging in MMA is chalked up to judges not knowing what they’re watching while shitty judging in boxing is because there is corruption or a fix…why can’t boxing judges not know what they’re seeing either?

my theory on that and please some correct me if I’m wrong is that boxing is only one facet of fighting. There are far more things to take in to account when watching/judging an mma fight. And there is also a lot more room for bias in mma in that, a wrestler keeps a jiu jitsu guy on his back…realistically both guys are in a spot they want to be in and its really up to the judge to decide on who he thinks wants to be there more. I believe that’s also why a simple 10-9 scoring system works for boxing while it is flawed for mma

Did you watch Paul Williams vs Lara last night?
The excuse everyone used was that Paul Williams threw more punches and was more active…that’s why he won. However, throwing 1085 punches and only landing 204 doesn’t mean you were a better boxer than one who threw 600 and landed 245. And landed more power shots.

Boxing's an incredibly hard sport to judge...
if you don’t really know what you’re watching. One sided rounds in MMA look more one-sided then dominant boxing rounds (to me).

Ya I agree with you there, you definitely see more one sided rounds in mma. And while I enjoy boxing I don’t watch enough of it or have enough understanding of the fine details within the sweet science to say I’d be able to judge is effecitvely. Thanks for input mr. Danahers hair.

Rashad performs best in “GSP Mode” where his opponent is afraid of the takedown and therefore his striking has more success.

I feel dumb for asking, since this show's been on for 3 years now...
but how do you hear the callers? I just hear Luke’s end. As interesting as it is trying to fill in the blanks, I feel like I am missing a very important part of the show.
