It's three am and I'm baked out of my tree after a very pleasing Sam Roberts concert. I'm thinking random MMA thoughts, when suddenly these two issues pop into my mind simultaneously: TUF ratings and the fact that Flyweight doesn't exist in the UFC. As everyone knows, TUF ratings are down big time, and not even the media might of Brock Lesnar can help. As everyone also knows, the UFC currently has no Flyweight division.
Could it possibly happen that the UFC would debut a weightclass on TUF, after ACTUALLY signing the top 16 (or 20, or 25-whatever) ranked Flyweight fighters in the world, and have the champion be the first UFC Flyweight Champ?I've never actually seen a flyweight fight, and actually can't even name a flyweight fighter off the top of my head, but judging by what the WEC taught us, these fights will be AWESOME.
The coaches could be Miguel Torres and Urijah Faber to promote the bantamweight division(and possibly set up a massive PPV if Faber wins against Dominick Cruz), and finally make that fight happen.
Please discuss. I need to know if I'm too high, or a MMA marketing genius.
