UFC To Stream TUF 13 Preliminary Fights Live On Facebook

Using social media to the fullest, the UFC announced Friday night on Twitter that all six preliminary fights for this Saturday's The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale will stream on Facebook.
The preliminary card kicks off at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, headlined by Anthony Pettis vs. Clay Guida and Ramsey Nijem vs. Tony Ferguson in the TUF 13 finale bout.
The Facebook fights that fans will see:
- Jeremy Stephens vs. Danny Downes
- Josh Grispi vs. George Roop
- Ryan McGillivray vs. Shamar Bailey
- Clay Harvison vs. Justin Edwards
- Scott Jorgensen vs. Ken Stone
- Reuben Duran vs. Francisco Rivera
Stephens is coming off a 3rd round KO of Marcus Davis at January's UFC 125, while Downes will make his UFC debut after submitting Tory Bogguess at a regional event in May.
An interesting name on the undercard is Jorgensen, who was last seen in December in a decision loss to Dominic Cruz for the WEC (now UFC) Bantamweight title. Before that loss, Jorgensen had won five straight WEC fights. He will face Stone, who was famously knocked out by Eddie Wineland on that same event with a vicious slam.
McGillivray, Bailey, Harvison and Edwards were all participants on this season of TUF, contributing to 13 total fighters that will be making their UFC debuts Saturday.

are probably better than all the main card bouts except for guida vs pettis. (In my humble opinion)

Do you know how Downes came into being?
Forged as a club fighter, he was brought in as a late replacement against Horodecki and was utterly schooled. Then he was brought back in to lose to Quan but ended up upsetting him. While Quan has looked good in the WEC/UFC otherwise, I still can’t take Downes entirely serious. Maybe he is better than he first appeared to be but when the merger was announced I ranked him dead last on the combined LW roster. Brookins got smashed by Aldo but I’d certainly pick him over Downes, who I don’t think would even win an average TUF. Lil Heathen will decapitate him.
I am a believer in their camp right now though.

seriously i want to watch jorgensen on tv. how do you go from five rounds with the champ to an undercard on free tv? The UFC is really giving the shaft to the smaller guys.

I’m not interested in watching the TUF losers but I’m very interested in the other prelims.
I just read a fanpost where everyone should shut the fuck up and just let the UFC market casuals
but it neglected to mention the part where that leads to awful card arrangements like this.
