Joe Lauzon looked very impressive tonight at UFC on Versus 4 with a quick finish of Curt Warburton. After dropping him with a huge left hook, Lauzon followed Warburton to the ground and landed some big elbows before deciding to switch to a submission. He grabbed onto one of Warburton's arms and fell to his back while cranking on a kimura, which forced Warburton to tap just before the two minute mark of the first. It appears that the kimura injured Warburton's shoulder.
Lauzon is a long-time veteran in the UFC, having been around for 4 1/2 years. He was a contestant on the Ultimate Fighter 5 not long after his shocking KO on Jens Pulver in his UFC debut. He was 6-3 in the UFC coming into this fight, and had won 6 bonus checks in his UFC run. He was coming off a submission loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 123. Warburton was 1-1 in the UFC coming into this fight. He dropped his UFC debut to Spencer Fisher by decision, but rebounded with a decision victory over Maciej Jewtuszko at UFC 127.
