A tweet from Maximum Fighting Championships owner and president Mark Pavelich earlier today:
"@MaximumFighting - MFC FOR SALE 3.2 Million"
Is the company really for sale? MMASucka contacted MFC rep Scott Zerr and he responded with this:
"No further comment at this time but Mark’s statement is true. The MFC is a very healthy organization and we are operating business as usual. We are continuing to move forward as planned."
Anyone out there looking to buy a Canadian MMA promotion?

Same.
I’d really enjoy them getting Bellator though. Lombard, Alvarez, Warren… Could be really fun.

Stuff for the network maybe?
Book McKee against Edgar, Grey and Miller at the same time?
My avatar has Bas Rutten and Terry Funk in it...therefore it's the manliest avatar on SB Nation.

For the cost of one MFC you can get 188,235 handles of Evan Williams.
That’s 329,411.25 liters of whiskey. A bit over 87,000 gallons.
Just think about that for awhile.

dana white
told me earlier on twitter 3.2 million for that company is a joke
Why bother buying the company when Dana can take all of their best fighters anyway. No different than Mckee, Full of Ufc washouts anyway

On my way to the back to get the 3.2 Million
I would usually have it on me but I bought an arena football team today.

320K?
It’s $3,200,000.

I’m saying its not worth 1/10 the asking price.

must be american
no way MFC is worth 3.2 canadian :P
This is slightly odd – Pavelich said in his interview with Hemminger and me that he gave Bellator 2 years before it went bust. He then went on to say that MFC had a long future ahead of it and all that.
Oh Mark, you sneaky publicity hound. I think you’re better at it than White, but damnit, keep MFC afloat…

I think I have about $22 in my wallet right now. Let’s go 50/50.

You can be our Dana White! Dana only owns 10%. Get ready to start swearing, Mr. President.

I have zero experience match making, and don’t follow lower level MMA closely. Can I play Joe Silva if I give you guys a bottle of jack?
I’m not that good at public speaking, in fact it terrifies me, but can I be either Rogan or Goldie if I put in an apple, a can drink and a bag of Lays? Preferably Rogan seeing as how I can be vulgar whenever I want and rationalize that it has nothing to do with my professional mma announcing position.

What's the can drink? I may only hold 10%, but I like to make it look like I run the whole show, so I have to ask.

Uh oh.......
…………time for the new ProElite owners to start spewing millions again.
Okay
$3.2 million is chump change for the UFC right? I mean, they could buy it, rip it, destroy it, and gut it for their fighters without batting an eye I would think.
That being said, are there any notable fighters in MFC? Like eclusively to MFC? Is there any sort of big incentive fighter wise to buy MFC?
Also, in regards to the link posted earlier in the comments, interesting.
That post said Zuffa was looking to buy MFC and Bellator, it was made 7 days ago…then we see MFC for sale.
I don’t seen an incentive for MFC, but damn I would love to see them buy Bellator, just for Lombard and Alvarez alone. Middleweight particularly needs new guys. Plus Anderson vs Lombard wuld be insane to see just because of their awesome records, regardless of the credibility, by the time this fight realistically happened, Anderson would be like 29-4 to 31-4 depending on him continuing to win, Lombard, fighting as often as he does, could be something like 30-2…that would just be awesome to see on pedigree alone.
Georges St-Pierre vs. Anderson Silva
I woulden't not believe the UFC to buy a company, but there is no reason for them to purchase MFC
even if you get their tape library (which I am pretty sure HDnet owns all of it) which isn’t worth anything you don’t really get any new exciting fighters in the UFC. MFC events are often headlined by guys who had a few short stints in the UFC/Pro Elite/IFL but are just journeyman now.
Pavelich likes to tell people that he is the “real” number two org because his promotion (according to him) makes money. I don’t really know if thats the case if he is selling now.
MFC has no valuable assets really...
Nothing even close to warranting a 3.2 mil price tag.
Missing something?
Am I missing something here? Is there a meaning behind the $3.2M figure? Is he making fun at someone else? This can’t be serious, right?
it gives you the right
to run half filled suburban casinos in Canada and have your cards aired by HDnet and headlined by guys cut by the UFC. Pavlich would probably make it sound better than that, but I don’t know if self-delusion comes with the price tag.
The MFC isn't worth 32,000
The only name fighters they have are UFC washouts. Unwatchable cards abound. Just go out of business already.
Clay Guida ensured he is now and forever the worlds most exciting and active boring fighter.
