UFC's TUF 13 Finale Draws 2035 For A Gate of $440,150, Highest Since TUF 9
The UFC's TUF 13 Finale drew 2,035 to the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a gate of $440,150, according to an email from Nevada Athletic Commissioner Keith Kizer.
Of that 2,035, 1,583 were paid while 452 were comps. The venue had 107 unsold seats.
It was the highest-attended TUF finale at the venue since the June 2009 TUF 9 Finale which drew 2217 ($498,650 gate) for a Clay Guida/Diego Sanchez main event.
UFC officials initially announced 1,857 attendees for a live gate of $429,000.
The event was co-headlined by the TUF 13 final as Tony Ferguson defeated Ramsey Nijem by 1st round KO while Clay Guida defeated Anthony Pettis by unanimous decision in the co-main event.
The UFC is set to return to the Palms this December for the TUF 14 finale and recently announced that future Strikeforce Challengers events will emanate from the venue starting with the July 22nd event.
Recent Palms UFC Events:
- TUF 13 Finale: 2,035
- TUF 12 Finale: 1,903
- TUF 11 Finale: 1,708

Brock Lesnar is still a huge draw!

Who Is This?
And why do I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t know.
I'm actually going to give this one to Pettis

My understanding is that the gate revenue and attendance have nothing to do with the UFC when these shows are sold to the casino.

Gate revenue, yes. Attendance, no.

They’re just going to give away the empty seats anyways to regular gamblers. It really doesn’t matter.

this is some tired shit. But why would I expect anything else from a guy named after possibly the most tired mma related joke there is.

coming from a guy named after one of the most played out comedy tv shows in history that basically makes up the humor of most frat guys – high praise.

Also you tell me how Guida was fighting that night.
Takedowns are the means to an end. Not the ending in itself.

Tell you how Guida was fighting that night? Dude, if I have to explain to you how he was fighting and how he won that fight hands down then you are far too busy fapping incessantly over the Showtime Kick to understand.

Guida wasn't gaming the system
He was defending submissions very well and eliminating Pettis’ fancy game.
So close and yet so far. The story of my sports fandom.

?
Just because he (horsemeatbro) along with myself didn’t care too much for all of the shoulder attacks and…busy hair utilized by Guida automatically puts us in the category of the “Just Bleed” fans? Nice.

If not then forget you Mr. Guida, I did not care much for your…tactics that night.

That's barely more than the Strikeforce event in Dallas with Ubereem v Wedrum
How long is the UFC going to keep the Strikeforce name? These big events have to be re-branded as UFC shows. The Showtime contract can’t be that valuable.
