In the facepalm worthy news of the day, Dave Bautista will be opening a Gracie affiliated gym in Tampa, Florida. If you're not familiar with the name Dave Bautista, that's probably because he's a former WWE wrestler who simply went by the wrestling name "Batista". Bautista is teaming up with Cesar Gracie to open up an MMA gym that is part of the Gracie Fighter Jiu Jitsu franchise. I sure hope he's not the jiu jitsu coach. But on a good note, how great would it be to see a guy from his gym go on a 10-fight winning streak. All of his finishes by Batista Bomb.

Batista was one of many former WWE stars who attempted to make the jump to MMA, but Bautista's MMA career never materialized. There were rumors that Strikeforce was negotiating a contract that would allow him to fight on one of their cards, but after Zuffa's purchase of Strikeforce, Bautista's phone stopped ringing and the talks were ended. So we may not see him in the cage, but you can go work on your top rope suplexes down at his gym.

The gym is currently open but it only allows "close martial arts friends", but that all plans to change next week when they will officially open the doors to the public. The question is, who will be coaching these guys? We've got a few thoughts.

Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling - Bill Goldberg will be teaching the art of the spear takedown, followed by thirty minutes of Jiu Jitsu with Chris Jericho. Jericho will teach you all the setups of the Lion Tamer and the intricacies of finishing the submission.

Striking- Glacier will be teaching the Cryonic Kick while Sting teaches you the art of carrying a bat in your Muay Thai shorts.

Cage and Ring Tactics- Many fighters find it beneficial to fight in a cage, while others enjoy a ring. Well, guys at Bautista's gym will only be fighting in rings. And teaching these men and women about the tactics needed for effective ring fighting will be none other than Rey Mysterio. No other person can do what he can inside of a ring and these fighters should be honored to learn from such a master of ring dominance. But it may happen that someone is forced into a cage. Well in that case, they will always have this guy on retainer.

Management- All fighters will be managed by the tagteam partnership of Miss Elizabeth and Jimmy Hart. Miss Elizabeth will be the silent type that attracts the fans who just come for the beer and ring girls, while Jimmy Hart will be the mouthpiece for the organization. Megaphone and all. You think Chael Sonnen can trash talk? Just wait til Miss Elizabeth and Jimmy Hart step on the scene. It will be a whole new ball game.
