The rumors in the boxing world (and here in Dallas) are that these will be Floyd and Manny's next fights as the two continue to dance around each other outside the ring. Seriously if these 2 guys ever do get in the ring we can say the fight began in 2009 and ended whenever the hell the bell rings.
I digress, rumor is Mayweather will face Victor Ortiz for his newly won alphabet strap and the best part is it will take place at Cowboy Stadium September 17th. Nothing is official, but thats the rumor.Since this is a MMA website I understand some may have not noticed Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao settling their defamation law suit against Oscar De La Hoya, Richard Schaeffer and Golden Boy Promotions. This came only after DLH, Schaeffer and GBP issued a public apology. Pacquiao's lawsuit against the Mayweather's (damn near all of em) is still taking place. BUT Pacquiao accepting the apology and dropping the lawsuit against Golden Boy means business is back on again. Meaning Juan Manuel Marquez was now on the table setting up the third match between the two.
Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 is pretty much a done deal for November, which I hope is not true, hope its sooner. No matter how bad and how good Marquez and Pacquiao have looked lately, Juan Manuel Marquez is still the only guy not named Erik Morales to give Pacquiao alot of problems. I personally think he won the first fight 9-3 and the 2nd fight was a draw with the knockdown, 7-5 Marquez. So I am excited for this fight.
Also, Amir Khan will be facing Zab Judah in a unification bout. I love this because I am a Zab fan and have always thought his hand speed would be a big problem for Khan. Zab may be the fastest boxer of the last 15 years, when he fought Mayweather he was beating him to the punch early, and was the faster fighter and made Mayweather adapt and change his gameplan (something Zab's had problems with). But Khan vs Judah has all of the makings of a bad ass, fast paced fight because both fighters are fast boxers. Whenever Zab has fought someone with a suspect or shaky chin, he has blasted them. Its the one's that were thick skinned and threw low blows that gave Zab problems.
The odd man out in this little man's sport (have you seen the f****ng heavyweights?) is Tim Bradley. He reportedly turned down a 50-50 split to face Amir Khan (NUCKING FUTS, Bradley cant draw flies to you know what and Khan is a huge draw over seas). Khan also caved in and offered to give him tv revenue, Bradley would have earned a career high payday but turned it down. Wonder who he will fight.
I honestly see the winner of Khan-Judah facing Pacquiao if he beats Marquez.
