MMARising: Matchmaker Rich Chou Is No Longer With StrikeForce
This is per their twitter account. Rich Chou is/was StrikeForce's matchmaker and Scott Coker's protege. I couldn't find any additional details. Considering the difficulty StrikeForce had in putting together matches, I'm sure that some will say that if he was fired it was justified, and I don't know the situation well enough to make a judgment on that. However, this is pretty significant that Coker wasn't able to keep this guy's job, when they were supposedly very close.

With the limited roster
I have no problem with the matches he made
I’m not sure what is going on here but something about this don’t seem right to me. Everywhere I’ve seen mention of this people seem to be jumping to conclusions on why Rich Chou isn’t with Strikeforce any longer. For example just look at comments by the OP. Automatically goes to speculating that he could of been fired at the same time admitting not knowing the situation well enough to make a judgment on it. Then following that up with some more speculation saying it’s pretty significant that Coker wasn’t able to keep this guy’s job, when they were supposedly very close.
Maybe I just missed the details but all I’ve heard is Rich Chou is no longer with Strikeforce but all the speculation seems to lean toward something negative as the reason for him not being there any longer. Such as he was fired or whatever.
How about waiting for someone to ask Rich Chou his accounts of what happened on why he is no longer with Strikeforce rather than all this wild speculation that might not be fair?
Just BE.
“Automatically speculated” huh? The common expression is “automatically assumed”, which I did not do. I believe I was more than fair. Considering I admitted I don’t know the full situation, and am not declaring a conclusion, I think it’s more than fair to speculate. Note I also gave what I feel were logical arguments for my speculation.
As for waiting on Rich Chou, that would be nice if he had actually said anything. As it is, it’s amazing that very few websites have even mentioned this story. I published this fanshot in the first place with the hope that maybe some more attention would be drawn to this story so that maybe we could find out what happened.
