Bad Boy Presents Bloody Elbow Radio - Weekend Preview, Rick Hawn

Bloody Elbow Radio, presented by Bad Boy, was live Thursday afternoon to discuss the latest in mixed martial arts. Matt Bishop, Forrest Lynn and Brian Hemminger broke down the weekend's two cards: Tachi Palace Fights 9 and Bellator 43, plus we discussed this weekend's big boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.

Also on the show, we discussed Gus Johnson's potential departure from CBS, plus Gray Maynard's thoughts on Anthony Pettis and Rashad Evans.

We were joined on the show by Bellator 43 headliner Rick Hawn. Hawn will face Jay Hieron in the welterweight tournament final this Saturday on MTV2.

We asked Hawn how he was feeling as he enters his third tough bout in a three-month span.

"I've trained hard basically since Jan. 1. It's been going well. I haven't been banged up too much, the only time I was really banged up is after my first fight my knee was kind of swollen and I had to take a week off, but I'm feeling good. I think I'm getting in better shape for each fight just because I'm not taking that break, I'm just going into that next training camp for the next guy. Feeling good, feeling strong and just ready to go."

"This is a little much, three fights in a row, it can take a toll mentally, but it's worth it. This is the finals and hopefully it's all going to pay off, all the training."

Bloody Elbow Radio returns to the air at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday to discuss the weekend in MMA. We are scheduled to be joined by UFC 129 winner Pablo Garza.
