As per MMADiehards, middleweight Ryan Jensen (15-8) has been released from the UFC following his loss to Jason "The Athlete" MacDonald UFC 129 in Toronto. Jensen went 2-6 in the UFC overall in two stints with the UFC, with all eight fights ending by submisson. The highlight of his UFC career was a 66 second guillotine finish of Jesse Forbes at UFC 114, which earned him a $65,000 bonus for submission of the night.

Tough break for Jensen,

but completely justified. Ryan is not UFC caliber, send this man to Strikeforce or Bellator.

Xtreme Couture- The best never rest! The girl in my av is Kari Sweets (you're welcome).

Yeah he's a good dude

I think he lets a homeless guy live in his gym for free. Hopefully SF signs him since they need middleweights.

I could see him being back on short term notice before the end of the year.

It seems more like a competitive issue than a personal one. Hope to see him back in the ring, I could see him fighting in MFC.

It's just a world, it's just a life.

To be honest,

I don’t expect Jensen back. 2-6 just isn’t competitive. I think Jensen has had his nice little run in the UFC, and seems to be headed for retirement from Nate’s below comment.

Sounds like a retirement,

not surprising though. Kind of reminds me of Hardonk- Jensen is dangerous, but not the most athletic guy ever, and doesn’t seem to be a natural fighter. He should make a good teacher though, the guy has been around the block.

Guy had more lives than a cat but it was inevitable. Good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do.

Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.

Not surprising (any more just one guy getting cut after an event is a surprise) but it kind of sounds like Jensen may be retiring to work at his gym which isn’t all bad. Best of luck to him in the future.
