With the permission of Brent Brookhouse I am here officially propose the challenge left in the comments of yesterdays "MMA Community's Attitude Toward Women" thread.
I have been an MMAmania regular for approximately two years and over that time have enjoyed the back and forth between our two community's. Some of you ignore or deny the existence of a rivalry while others enjoy taking shots at our comment sections, staff opinions, lack of moderation, treatment of the opposite sex, and website as a whole. Every now and then some covert ops will cross the boundary and confront the opposition, usually resulting in the wrath of your almighty and beloved Ban Hammer, or on the rare occasion you fine folk come play in our gutter, the results tend to be a lot of fun as in the case of one BlackLesnar. Just as you look down upon us we too mock the differences we see, ranging from green comments to over moderation and lack of non mma conversation. Bottom line, there are differences and that's why there are two sites. The one thing that we do not understand is your belief that you are in fact more knowledgeable about the sport we all love. Example below.
Given the content of the comment sections over there, this should be no sweat. I don’t mind trowing a few stones into the shallow end of the gene pool. - MostDiabolicalHater
Not sure what trowing is, but I get it. Because we tend to veer of course in our threads and disregard our grammar we therefor must not know anything about mma. Well it's time for you to prove this one. I've noticed you have a betting game some of you take part in every event, and we also have something called the "money pool" where we do the same. This is a formal challenge for our two community's to prove once and for all whose got the goods.
More details after the jump.
Each website will be forming a 10 man team. All 20 of us will take part in a 6 UFC only event season on mmaplayground.com starting with UFC 131 and ending with UFC 134, including UFC on versus 5 and UFC live: Marquardt vs Johnson. The previous challenge was to only be 5 events and start this weekend, but I wanted to give both sites ample time to pick their 10 man team and I couldn't bare the thought of the season not ending at UFC 134 Rio. At the end of the season we will combine the scores of each 10 man team and the total points will determine the winner. Individual placement has zero effect on the outcome. This is a team competition and every mans score on all 6 events will play into the outcome.
Participants have to be regulars. That means 1000+ posts, 1 yr plus membership, and the given site has to be your most frequented (determined by number of comments).
No staff allowed. (that includes any sbnation staff sorry Derek Suboticki)
Picks receive 5 pts for the winner and if picked correctly can also earn 2 pts for the rd, and 2 pts for how the fight ends. If all 3 are picked correctly a bonus 2pts is added totaling 11. There is one hot fight per event which is worth double points.
Picks must be in many hours before the 1st fight starts, possibly 4, but I'm not sure, there will be a clock counting down your remaining time right above your picks. Anyone not getting their picks in before it's locked will score a zero for the event and will hurt their team. No exceptions. Read the rules and be held accountable.
This is purely for site supremacy bragging rights. There is no money involved.
You are picking every fight on the entire card televised or not.

6-10 tbd (i leave that up to you, we want your regulars but have no idea who they are)
I suggest anyone participating or under consideration for team Elbow make an account at mmaplayground.com. We are not doing the event this weekend so use it for practice and to help MostDiabolicaHater pick his team. We ask that you use your BloodyElbow screen name on mmaplayground (or something close to it if it's taken) to avoid any confusion.
I will create a "fight camp" after the next event. I will need to know your playground username to invite you to join the camp. This will not happen until next week.
Please feel free to ask any questions in the comment section. This has been a lot of fun already. I have come in peace and with respect, but make no mistake about it, if you choose to come over to mania you will see us saying horrible things about you, we welcome you to join in the fun, and fully expect you to keep banning anyone not walking your line when they comment over here. Business as usual.
