Thank You Nick Thomas

There's been a lot of change here at BE lately -- and there's more on the way, new writers, new features, a new grappling section, etc etc -- but there's one change that I was hoping I wouldn't have to announce.

Nick Thomas, Bloody Elbow's multi-media maven and news hound supreme has left the site. He's been working a full-time job and got married earlier this year so he's had to leave us for saner pastures.

Please let Nick know how much you appreciated his efforts here at BE for the past three years.

Wow, crazy changes lately.

Nick was a workhorse! I just watched the Luke Thomas/ Kid Nate live podcast where they talked about how Nick Thomas was like Al Qaeda… funny. I wonder who will fill the void?

Awesome amount of great work.

Nick has done a ton for this site. His ability to find and post, in a professional manner, all kinds of news and multimedia content from all over the MMA world is without parallel. A lot of his contribution flies under the radar as he’s made it look so effortless over the years. Everyone around here will miss your contributions.

My fiance's uncle is a detective in Japan

He said years ago he was in city hall during some kind of meeting. He walked by some guy who kicked him, so he threw him. This reminded me of that.

He’s a Judo black belt. I guess all cops in Japan are pretty good Judokas and to get promoted you have to be a bad ass Judo player(no joke).

I’ve always wondered if school yard fights in Japan end with broken bones or concussions.
