$75 cab fare?

where the hell was he going? NYC cab last year (last time I was there) was $40 or $50 from JFK into Manhattan. $75 just seems excessive to me, unless he’d rented the cab for the night.

Shaolin

He used to reside on Staten Island, and cab fare from there into downtown Manhattan (just exiting either the bridge or the tunnel from BK) can run you 40, so going to any actual destination even halfway into any borough could easily run 75. And doubly-easy if he was way out in the Kills or Tottenville in SI.

The JFK runs from most locales in Manhattan are very well scouted and even legally limited to cap ’em at what you paid. Nothing like an SI run.

So glad I don’t live there anymore.

yeah, i know we paid a flat rate for the airport cab

we stayed in Manhattan and split things up about 50/50 between cabs and subway. Never had a fare like Ricco’s, though.

i’m an out-of-towner, but know my way around NYC pretty well. once had a cabby try to give me the ol’ “show ’im the city and overcharge him” routine. i got out at the corner of 51st & 8th and walked away. jesus, was that guy pissed.

Out somewhere complaining about relevant fighters. God I wish Ricco was still important enough to be bad or good for the sport.

I just got in from the gym all tired

and was staring at his weigh-in picture, going “wth is wrong with his right bicep, is that like synthol, but only on one of the arms?”. Then I realised it was the girl’s head…

Haha don’t feel too bad baby oil. When I first saw it I had to ask myself if ricco was related to scott steiner or something.

Anyone remember what he looked like back in the original Steiner Brothers days? That side by side would make Overeem seem human.
