Bloody Elbow is the premier MMA community, and it is because every single user brings something to the table whether in the form of humerous banter or expert knowledge in a one of the martial arts. Being a huge fight fan, i believe this is my contribution to the BE community. LATE NIGHT FIGHTS as a series was created in order to highlight great classics and those fights that are often cited but rarely seen as well as the past, present and future legends of MMA in their early non UFC or non MMA bouts. - KJJ
Hey guys, i was away Wednesday night with awful "food poisoning"
In my defense it was the very last night of semeter, gotta go out with a bang!
Anyway lets get to some fights! First up we have the left handed phenom, Vitor Belfort making his boxing debut. The 2 weight class UFC champ's lethal hands translate nicely to the sweet science. Take a look.
Vitor Belfort 0-0
Josemario Neves 0-0
The Phenom, dominating as always. Now lets take a look at Spider Silva during a Thai boxing match.
Anderson Silva 40-1
NW: Jose Landi-Jons (Decision)
NL: Jose Landi-Jons (KO)
Tandu Sanmartino X-X
As you can see, Spider Silva was a master technician in the art of 8 limbs. The way he can throw multiple kicks in split seconds is amazing to watch. Truely one of the best. Join us Monday for Part 2 of the Mark Hunt Chronicles (much more detail then in these 2 fights)
