The UFC announced yesterday that TUF 12 winner, Jonathan Brookins, has been forced out of a lightweight bout against Jeremy Stephens at the TUF 13 Finale next month due to injury. In Brookins's place, Danny Downes, who just took the risk of fighting outside the UFC (and was victorious via submission), will face Stephens.

High risk, high reward. Well done, Downes. Many fighters could learn a thing or two from you about taking risks and taking fights instead of staying idle waiting for something.
Yeah. he was going to sleep for sure.

Exactly, Brookins standup is pretty terrible, and he just has no defense in the standup whatsoever. Stephens would have exploited that greatly and KO’d or TKO’d Brookins unless Brookins managed to get the takedowns and kept top position or submit him.
