yeah
this is going to be tough for Bonnar. On the upside, if he gets through this he’s all of a sudden a relevant fighter again
Mcloviiiiin!!
Vemola’s gonna whoop that ass.

I thought uncle Dana liked Stephan, guess not.

UFC on Versus 5: There Will Be Blood
I expect Bonnar to take a beating for three rounds and leave the cage looking it was used as an impromptu operating room.
Poor Bonnar. Should be a fun fight.
Question: who is Alexander Gustafsson going to fight? I see all these other guys getting booked but nothing about The Mauler. I guess maybe the theory that they want to save him for the rumored Sweden card for November could be true.

Heard from a friend involved in the swedish mma scene that it has been pushed back to 2012. Still just a rumor though…

Hey, I actually heard someone say that same thing. I haven’t seen anything official about it though, but then again it was never official for November either. But if that’s the case that they’re delaying it, they really ought to book him a fight soon. He’s supposedly healthy and everything, been 2,5 months since his last fight. Hope to hear something about that soon, guess I’ll just have to be patient.

It’s gonna be a challenge for Vemola to keep his eye on Bonnar inside the cage.

Bonnar..
He said he wanted a fight with Rich Franklin, well I guess this will test if he can hang with any relevant fighters

I actually wouldn't be terribly surprised if
Bonnar exploited Vemola’s TD defense and ran a BJJ clinic on him for 3 rounds as he did in the Pokrajac fight.
Bonnar is definitely a fighter that can weather the early storm. Vemola blitzed Petruzelli, but we don’t know if he can do that in rounds 2 and 3. We know that Bonnar thrives off taking punishment. Vemola seems like the type of fighter that’ll play into the fights that Bonnar likes.

I’m torn. I want Vemola to win, but I want to see Bonnar’s awesome/creepy post-fight pose again

I just love that UFC has a niche for guys like Bonnar
When Dana says “be exciting and you’ll stick around”, he actually means it.
Also, it’s easy to forget, but of Stephan’s 7 career losses, only 1 has been to a guy who hasn’t been a UFC Champion — and that was on an accidental headbutt against Soszynski in a fight that he may have been on his way to winning.
Steph may deserve his reputation as a very, very good mid-tier fighter, but you can’t argue that he’s been in with the best of the best and always come to fight.

I was worried that he was gonna retire so I'm just glad to hear he's got a fight lined up.
I’m pretty much a TUF noob so if it weren’t for Bonnar I wouldn’t love MMA as much as I do.

Wow. I never realized that. That’s pretty damn impressive. Especially considering you could have given his first fight with Forrest and his fight with Rashad to him.
The only real “dark mark” on his resume is Coleman.

Agreed, that fight was fairly close but Bonnar was being retarded for throwing that spinning heel kick.

I really hope Bonnar takes this
I saw Vemola at a regional show here in the UK and he was classlessness personified
