Scouting Report Update: Weekend Results - April 29th-30th
It was another week of mixed results for fighters selected in the World MMA Scouting Report. #2 Featherweight Taiki Tsuchiya was knocked out by Shooto stalwart and former Champion "Lion" Takeshi Inoue at Shooto Tradition 2011 in Japan. Meanwhile, #6 Lightweight Reza Madadi came away with a controversial decision victory over UFC regular Rich Clementi in what turned out to be a bitterly contested title fight in Madadi's home country of Sweden. During the staredown at the weigh-ins, Clementi responded to an overly aggressive Madadi with a hard headbutt attempt that thankfully missed it's target.

Asshole move by Clementi. He is experienced enough that he should be able to handle a guy getting close and personal at the staredown, without trying to full out headbutt him like that. Madadi is an aggressive character and it’s part of his mental game and image to be like that, but I don’t think he did anything worse than what we see all the time. Really poor display by Clementi.
Haven’t been able to watch the fights yet, but they will air on Swedish television on Friday next week, so I’ll make sure to catch it then. I was considering going to this event, but unfortunately my monetary situation didn’t allow it this time. It’s nice to see the sport is growing and the cards getting better.
Assan Njie’s guillotine is ridiculous. I train at the same gym as him and my instructor (who spar with him regularly) says that if you give him just the tiniest window to lock it in, he does, and you’re 100% screwed. He catches people with it all the time, even though all of his sparring partners knows that it’s his go-to move. Nice to see him get the win!

"I'm gonna FUCK you up tomorrow!"
That was a cool exchange, not gonna lie. You could cut the testosterone in there with a spoon.

I was thinking the same thing haha. Gotta love heat like that when it shows up.

The Swedish accent made it extra badass IMO

Full results and you only released the main event outcome? hell, no even mention to Hioki, #2 FW in the world who put on another high level performance, and someone we all should be begging to fight on the UFC.

Cut the criticism. These are only for Scouting Report fighters. A full report on Shooto will be coming tomorrow.
