This will be fun.

Cub is always exciting to watch, and from what I’ve seen of Koch, he’s got the right style to make this a fun fight…

Koch is going to ruin Swanson’s day.

In the clearing stands a boxer And a fighter by his trade And he carries the reminders Of ev'ry glove that layed him down Or cut him till he cried out In his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving" But the fighter still remains

Koch will put him down.

Looks like they are giving Koch the opportunity to create one hell of a highlight reel.

I know you can’t speak for everyone, but why is the general consensus that Koch will just run through Swanson? He’s got the speed and foot work to avoid those big shots, as well as the condition to stay in the game. I give Koch the edge just because he’s got so much momentum going into this fight, but by no means do I think he’ll just run through Cub.

I don’t know much about Koch, you probably know way more than me, am I missing something?

Swanson lasted like -2 seconds against Aldo, and got tapped in under a minute………..by Jens Pulver.

Koch has pasted everyone he’s run across short of Chad Mendes, and he gave Mendes all he could handle and then some.

I wouldn’t have expected him to last too long with Aldo, who did? And I don’t see him as a future champion or anything, but he’s no slouch, and his loss to Pulver was a long time ago. I think everyone is underestimating Cub’s boxing and foot work.

I was really impressed with Cub after the Semerzier fight. I think that this fight could be competitive, but I am going to go with Koch to win this one, but I don’t think that he’ll run through him or anything.

I feel like Koch’s crisp, technical striking will catch Swanson before he can get him to the ground.

See, this, I can get behind. I just think that anyone expecting Koch to just run through Swanson is totally selling Swanson short.

Cub's going to get ruined

And I’m certain this fight will somehow be a dark fight.

Didn’t they think Cub getting plastic surgery from Aldo was violent enough? This is going to be a blood bath.

These two fighting in a cage will look quite a bit like a jailhouse brawl. For whatever reason I can’t look at koch without thinking “prison nazi”

Anyone know what those arm tattoos he’s got means anyway?

by Horselover Fat on Apr 6, 2011 6:03 AM EDT up reply actions

The tat on his left arm is HD and stands for Hard Drive which is a team in Cedar Rapids, IA that he trained with his entire career before moving in with Pettis and the other tattoo stands for ZNA or Zombie Nation Army which is a select few of the elite from that gym.

From random on MMAJunkie. Not sure how factual the statement is.

was hoping they'd do poirier/koch but this'll do

probably don’t wanna derail either guy just yet.

This acutally can be competitive.

And not because they are both young white skinheads.
Koch is awesome to watch and on a rise, but Cub isn’t that bad. other than getting caught on a flying double knee by the current champion(P4P top5), and getting Ln’Ped by Chad aka the best Ln’Per in the division, he’s doing fine lately.
2 KOTN for Koch, 3 FOTN for Koch, this fight definitely should be fun to watch(if they won’t be gunshy as Guillard and Stephens did).

Koch is pretty awesome. As for Swanson, I have no idea why but I forget he exists on a bizarrely regular basis
