The Ultimate Fighter season three veteran Matt Hamill has been waiting a long time to get a crack at a top 10 opponent. He is finally getting his chance against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at UFC 130. Jackson was originally scheduled to face Thiago Silva, but Silva's failed drug test after UFC 125 opened up the opportunity for Hamill. As long as Rampage realizes he can’t slack off in training and needs to bring it for this fight I think it has the potential to be a good scrap.

I’m no professional fighter by any means. So that video, and all the Bas Rutten talk of liver shots, got me intrigued. So I did my research, saw that its a shot under the ribs on the left side, and proceeded to punch myself twice, hard in the liver. Ya, know, just for sh*ts and to know. Well, I recommend to anyone who reads this, do not be as brain dead as me. Yes it hurts, yes is saps your energy, yes it will drop you and yes it makes your whole body ache.
It still hurts, 10 mins later. And I am an idiot.

You don’t make them, you find them. For real 99% of the people that post gif have no idea how to make one. But you can use virtualdub to make them, there is probably a ton of freewares that will make it simpler for you, but since I’m used to virtualdub I don’t know.

It’s 4AM here so I’ll make it short. No.
You need to open the vid in vdub, select your scene, save it as a gif, maybe use another software to optimize the gif (something probably called "gif optimizer I would guess) and host it on a website like imageshack, and paste the link here, but as an image of course (you know how to post an image?). A ton of things can go wrong with virtualdub, starting with the codecs, I don’t recommend this method.

Be careful though, they’re known to switch your gifs with porn occasionally.

You punched yourself in the spleen your livers on the right side of your body. You could have internal bleeding and should go to the hospital if it continues a ruptured spleen will kill you! It’s a common hockey injury? I do not know why.
A liver shot is just as painful if not worse though. I have been slug in both an there’s a delay and then bam! Pain it’s like getting kicked in the nutz but the feeling radiates from your gut.

Hamill has never shown the speed he'll need to succeed in the top 10
He’s definitely one of the slowest LHW I can think of, both in terms of his overall body movement and his strikes. On a related note, his striking defense has always seemed a bit lacking as well.
He’ll have to make his way through Rampages shots in the mid and short range and get the takedown to win. Then again, he may set up Rampage to not expect high kicks then fire off a hail mary totally unexpectedly.
Hammill will get a couple takedowns and win
Rampage just moves forward all flat footed and trys to land bombs. Not that diverse.

But for the most part he says he wants exciting fights for the fans but he only does one thing………….. throws punches. Doesn’t kick that much, rarely takes people down, Never goes for submissions. He is essentially a boxer with really good TDD.

I have to go with Rampage here. I hope that he is still training with Lance Gibson as Rampage showed a good ability to cut off the cage with movement against Machida. Rampage has superior boxing and good takedown defense, and I hope that he keeps that movement that he showed in the Machida fight.

Rampage is gonna hurt Matt.
He hasnt fought anyone with the power that Rampage has. If he tries and stand with him he is getting dropped faster then a fat man trying to do a push up.

Not only Rampages power But Boxing skills also, I just see him lighting Hamil up in the pocket every single time they trade. And lets not forget Rampage has some pretty dam decent take down def. I think every one forgets about that sence the Rashad fight, and its not like Rashad has his way with Rampage in the wrestling department eather. Rashad got 2 takedown’s that fight and one was when Rampage was stunned and the other caqme when Rampage went for the kill in the 3rd round put himself out of place. Matt Hamil also does not have 1/10 the power double leg that Rashad has eather. I just don’t see Hamils slow high crotch lift and single leg attack working nore do I see him getting takedowns from the clinch like he likes to do. I just don’t see anyway Matt wins this fight buts its MMA and I have been wrong countless times when I thought this.
Only way I see Hamill winning this fight is if Rampage doesn’t take it seriously and Matt survives the first round and then steals rounds vs a tired Rampage.
Anything can happen but Rampage by ko.
The fact of the matter is that Rampage has shown very good cardio in all his fights. The Henderson fight was an absolute war of attrition for five rounds. In the Griffin fight where Rampage was reportedly drinking too many energy drinks, he went the full five rounds with Griffin. I have yet to really see a gassed Rampage in the UFC.

It’s well-known Rampage has some mentality issues. I can see him having trouble motivating himself to really fuck up someone like Hamill, a kid who, despite getting some wins, always seemed a little in over his head with this fighting business, and is handicapped. Sort of “I’d feel guilty for knocking him out.” But he did look good against Machida. Damn, Page is difficult to figure out.

Page is really all that hard to figure out. He’s kind of pigeon holed himself as a fighter, stylistically, but that’s fine. Just another study in what “could have been,” Rampage was a fighting savant back in the day. He still packs a hell of a punch, and comes to fight.
