Scouting Report Update: Weekend Results - April 21st-23rd, 2011
Last week it was #7 Middleweight Jordan Smith (pictured, GIF after the jump) getting crushed in 11 seconds at the hands of UFC and WEC veteran Tim McKenzie. This week it was #7 Heavyweight Vitaly Minakov coming up with an emphatic early finish, stopping Spaniard Juan Espino in only 9 seconds to lead Scouting Report alumni to a perfect 3-0 result for the weekend. #5 Bantamweight John Lineker also impressed in his victory over Renato Velame, making his case for inclusion in a Jungle Fight title bout should promoter Wallid Ismail choose to inaugurate a 135lb Championship.

How was this kid a prospect?
He seems pretty amateurish.
"I guess I'm 13-Maynard, and Maynard..."- Frankie Edgar
Kickboxing is his big weakness, and apparently he doesn’t realize it. Otherwise he is a pretty good, rounded fighter.
So besides have a gapping hole in his game...
he is still young, but its tough to have losses like that already under your belt and keep moving forward
Well, he was #7, and he does train with Black House guys in California for training camps. And he did just drop to 170. But his chin is susceptible, obviously.

![2011 World Scouting Report Update: May Recap
by smoogy
The latter half of May has been positively filthy with Scouting Report action, but the slow trickle of results coming in from the more obscure promotions has made the task of compiling an accurate, timely weekend recap difficult lately. In lieu of that feature's absence over the past two weeks, here is a jumbo-sized recap covering fourteen fights over the last three weeks of the month. A Special Achievement Award is in order for Konstantin Gluhov, who captured his second consecutive Warrior's Honor one-night-tournament title. Gluhov has won a staggering five straight tournaments in the last nine months: the two from Warrior's Honor (Ukraine), the Oleg Taktarov Cup (Russia), the UCFC 20,000 Euro, 16-Man Tournament (Austria), and the Pancrase FC Cup (France).
