American fans will remember light heavyweight title challenger Vinny Magalhaes from The Ultimate Fighter season 8 where he lost to winner Ryan Bader in the finals. Magalhaes will be challenging for the M-1 Lightheavyweight title.
M-1 Challenge welterweight champ Shamil Zavurov will meet Sengoku veteran, Yasubey Enomoto (6-2) in a title fight. The Swiss-based fighter makes his first appearance inside M-1's ring with a title shot against current welterweight champion, Shamil Zavurov (19-1) as Rashid Magomedov was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Now I just need to figure out how to watch and make snarky comments at the same time…all on a laptop screen.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
1) VGA cable from laptop to TV
2) Extended desktop (effectively giving you two displays, one for the TV and one for the computer)
3) Drag stream over to the TV screen, full screen it
4) Open live commentary on laptop screen
5) Snark away
Least that’s what I’d do if I didn’t have a fucking exam right in the middle of it. Any way we can watch the fights after the live stream is over?

Why do they get stood up so fast? Is this a Russian thing? We’ve already seen 4-5 standups, and we are not even through two fights.
Especially since the greatest Russian fighter ever is also perhaps the greatest G’n’P’er ever.
It makes little sense, but this is how Russian MMA looks. A Brazilian BJJ whiz with zero striking would probably clean up here. I’m seeing so many openings, loopholes and missed opportunities that I’m wondering if I could go over there and try my hand at it.

I have never seen two things that have happened in this round:
1) Guy in triangle manages to stand up, but while the other guy keeps the triangle, he hangs down all the way and the other guy just presses him into the ropes. Very nice visual, but still silly.
2) Ref stops the fight mid-triangle to clean up blood.

These are kids or guys who aren’t very good. They have said it numerous times on the broadcast — these are guys who need a TON of work in all aspects.
I know this – note that any direct criticism of fighters has been specific and limited to the ground, where I have also praised some as well. They have competitive spirit and are being limited in what they can do by the rules, referee and ring.

It was just blood coming out of a nose, it’s not like it was over his eye or anything. In my opinion they never at any point should have stopped the fight to clean up blood.

They could be the KHL of MMA
KHL takes some decent hockey players from the NHL (nothing great, usually) and keeps a lot of the young Russian talent and Euro talent who are just not quite good enough to make it.
If they could be that type of organization, it would be great to have around.
I agree, they could fill that void, because realistically strikeforce main fighters will all go to ufc the scraps could round out M-1 or Bellator, But me personally M-1 > Bellator

Disappointed in Suarez.
He’s done. Cardio is gone. Still like his early round skills, but he needs to work on his cardio something terrible.
Eh, I thought Suarez won rounds 1 and 2. So this is a good decision.
Thought he had to get round 2 due to that huge knockdown. He did all the damage in the 2nd round.
Looked like shit in the 3rd, but he gassed completely midway through the 2nd.

I admit I don’t know a lot about Eckerlin though they sound like they are hyping him up quite a bit.

I was confused on who were fighting until the end :p
Pros of this M-1 show: Great tv production, good match-making, willing if not supremely skilled competitors, exciting fights, progress displayed in getting wrestlers into M-1, referees who do fighter safety checks pre-fight and display awareness of back of head strikes. And hilarious commentators who speak the truth.
Cons: Early on, some very bush league refereeing in terms of stopping fights to clean up a nosebleed and while a fighter was threatening to work a sub. No elbows on ground.
Things that would be great if changed, but probably won’t: the ring.

Always worried about fighters falling out of the ring – and we saw Temirkhanov cheat by going outside the ropes to escape being finished by Suarez.
We’ve also seen two or three bumps of the camera by the fighters.

I've always wondered why they didn't just put more ropes in the ring
and use a couple more of the ties that hold all of the ropes in place. It makes it more sturdy while also keeping the square shape that benefits strikers and prevents endless circling. The thing about preventing getting finished could be prevented if the bottom rope was lowered.

To me a ring is more professional where a cage feels like u r suppose to look at the fighters like 2 caged animals out for blood, it was just to give the early ufcs that extreme aura and feeling, they should have also done the moat with alligators like suggested by the original seg promoter when they planned ufc 1, they were just trying to use something edgy to draw fans

This totally reminded me of that fight.
They really need to change the rules, Enomoto was more effective than Zavurov. All Zavurov did was get takedowns.
I don't really agree with that.
Accomplished nothing off of his back, landed a handful of good shots over the entire fight. Maybe he won a round here or there but there is zero argument for Enomoto winning the fight overall.

Same can be said about Zavurov
When he got the fight to the ground he was completely shutdown. If it weren’t for the current rules that are set, I thought that Enomoto would win for the submission attempts and just shutting down Zavurov.
It might just be me but I hate that takedowns take fights but only when the fighter doesn’t do damage on the ground.
Enomoto should just throw hands and avoid the takedown..

It was a lot like this
Except he was off to the side and instead of pulling it straight up he was pulling it to the side. He had pressure on the side of the neck and throat and was pullling the head to the side similar to the twister. Modified GOGO
