Michael Bisping responded to Alan Belcher's recent harsh comments (in which Belcher called Bisping "an asshole" and "bad for the sport"), while speaking with Fighters Only:
"Yeah really original," he said of Belcher’s comments. "I suppose he thinks he can get back in the mix by calling me out. But if he wants an easy fight he should sue his tattooist for that abomination on his arm. I know Belcher has vision problems right now but we still have to look at that mess.
"He’s got a lot of nerve calling me an a--hole when he walks round with that on him. Although lets be fair, the real a--hole is the tattooist who drew that."

For real though, I remember Belcher saying somewhere that his dad was a huge JC fan, and so Alan got that tattoo in memoriam. It’s an ugly tattoo, but in bad taste to make fun of it to be honest.

In fairness, I doubt Bisping even knew it was (not saying he would or wouldn’t if he did.) It’s not like it’s something that’s plain to anyone that looks closely at it “oh, that must be a tribute to his dad.” Had Bisping came out and made a crack a few fights ago about Miller’s tattoo for his daughter, a tattoo that you only need to look at closely once to see it’s not just some random one, that’s one thing. Making a joke about a Cash tattoo, with it being perfectly reasonable to think it’s just because he likes Cash, is another. I know a lot of fans here are hearing claims it’s for his dad for the first time, and most fighters follow the sport and other fighter gossip much less closely than the level of fan that reads BE.
That being said, I think the eye crack is a low blow. That wasn’t some minor thing where he broke a finger or something and pulled out of a fight. The guy suffered an injury that put his career in jeopardy and, if I recall right, threatened to possibly permanently leave his eye with diminished function. Making light of a serious problem like that is a bit dickish.

I agree that it is a fugly tatt.
But considering the context, it’s just a tad insensitive to hammer the issue. I’m not trying to say that Bisping is even aware of this, and I’ll admit that I chuckled when I read it. But it is important to note that the guy got the tattoo as a tribute to his father. Whether or not the tattoo artist did a good job on it or not is irrelevant to the meaning of the piece.

It’s a bad tatt, from an unusual angle photo, which makes the whole thing look like some sort of a pigman. Belcher seems OK with it though, so no matter how much of an idiot Bisping is and how much most of us like to hate on him, let’s not bring disrespect about someone’s late father into this – it’s just a low blow and taking things completely out of context. It’s a dig at a bad choice of art to grace your arm for the rest of your life. That is all.

If you want a fight call out Bisping or Wanderlei Silva? If you think your on the verge of a title shot call out Wand or Bisping. I guess it makes sense because they are both big names but come on people these two guys can only fight so often. Haven’t you noticed that everybody acts like they have the same grudge against Bisping (I could be included in that) but do all these people really think they will get the fight because they can start the best beef? I hope the UFC looks at opponent quality first because if Bisping wants that title shot he’s gotta fight a top contender. All the UFC has to do is get bisping a fight and guys will stop talking about the same crap to do with him.

Snowden has been very vocal (well, the written equivalent) about his like of fighters with attitude and an ability to polarise the audience. In fight promotion being a douche or an asshole is better than being someone who’s innocuous and doesn’t push the needle.
Same here. Both are great fighters, great personalities, and spice things up on BE everytime they do an interview, fight, etc. We should all be glad these guys are in the UFC!

I was so glad he came out with this, I liked Belcher but come on this has been done to death already.
I yawn everytime someone takes an easy and predictable pop and bisping just because they know everyone takes more of an interest in Bisping than them and they feel butt hurt about it.
Pretty funny how Belcher can call Bisping an asshole and say he is bad for the sport and no one calls him on it. Bisping says this in return and already people think its “too far” etc

He’s came out and said publicly what everyone has been thinking, whilst Completly burning Belcher in the process.
