Ryoto "Lyoto" Machida KO Rich "Ace" Franklin (via Leecher)

Both fighters touch gloves to start. Southpaw versus Southpaw. Machida feints a left kick. Franklin lands a nice left hand. Lyoto with a spinning back kick that misses badly. Both fighters exchange punches and then clinch. Franklin misses on a knee as they exit the clinch. Nice combo by Lyoto and they clinch again. Machida lands a big knee and Franklin is dazed. The karateka follows with punches on the way down and Franklin crumbles. Referee Kal Suzuki pulls Machida off for the KO win.

I think its amazing how in his first 3 fights, Lyoto Machida stopped 2 future A and B-level fighters who are not easy guys to stop at all, both were undefeated with more experience then Lyoto. These fights were the beginning of the Machida Legend.

Stay tuned for tommorow's LNF: BJ Penn vs BANG Ludwig
