Honestly, I think there are a number of ways that Evans can win. I know Jones is the next best thing since sliced bread but he has holes in his striking game. It’s not incredibly difficult to overcome a serious reach advantage. I do believe the fight will be far more competitive than Jones’ past fights.
I tend to be biased towards strikers . . . exciting strikers.

- How can Roy Nelson over come Stephan Struve’s reach and height? or how did he do it against Brendan Schaub?
- Mike Tyson usually fought with serious disadvantages against taller, longer opponents. So did Evander Holyfield.
- How could Cain Velasquez overcome Brock Lesnar’s dominating top notch wrestling?
- How did Jon Jones overcome Ryan Bader’s high credentialed wrestling?
- How did GSP overcome Koscheck’s high touted wrestling in their first match?

Well, Struve’s the poster boy for tall guys who have no clue on how to use his reach.
The problem for Evans is that Jones seems to now have learned how to use his reach properly as he did a great job against Shogun with it, and nothing makes me believe that Evans is better than Jones in any aspect, especially wrestling.
Ok, how about this.
Evans, like Florian are evolving fighters. (Ok, Florian’s wrestling will never reach Maynard’s or even Edgar’s level . . . but I’m just saying.)
Do you remember when Evans pulled off the head-kick KO? No one saw it coming.
Do you remember the outcome of UFC 88? No one saw it coming.
Yes, I’m talking about the same fighter that looked horrible against Michael Bisping at 185lbs. but you never know. Styles makes fights. I think there are some variables that makes this fight a very interesting match up. Just my opinion, I don’t think a Jones victory is a foregone conclusion.

Yeah, but just like how Evans is an evolving fighter, so is Jon Jones. Not just that, but Jones is much younger than Evans and has not been fighting as long but is already champion, so Jones has just as much potential to evolve, if not moreso than Evans.

It’s entirely possible. Jon Jones’ brothers are massive, they make him look tiny. Arthur is 6’3 about 300 pounds, solid build. Chandler is like 6’6 270, similar build to Jon but a bit larger all around. They’re both pro-athletes already; if these guys started training MMA seriously they could wreck shit in the HW division.

Fun tweet collection this week, pictures and videos, good job Anton. Arianny’s song is god awful terrible.. just like expected. Funny how the collage during the song is just slow motion panning to her tits in various photos, so at least they know that’s her appeal.
