The winners of the World Pro trials held across the world were flown into Abu Dhabi for the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu championship.  Days of heavy competition, starting with the No-Gi championships (8th and 9th of April).

The major stories unfolding for this initial competition were how the competitors would fare after a tough Pan Jiu Jitsu Championship that had just recently concluded, how the Atos Jiu Jitsu Featherweight squad would handle having so many competitors in just one division, and how Rodolfo Viera would fare after igniting the Jiu Jitsu world with his performance at the Pans.

It turns out every fans fears about the Atos squad shutting down the featherweight bracket were warranted as Atos lead by Rafael Mendes completely dominated the final results of the 65kg division. The brothers decided to play out the final in a dazzling display of technique, but with nothing really on the line:

Rodolfo Vieira would mixed results however, losing in the finals of his 92kg division against Rafael Lovato Jr in what might of been the most highly contested bout of the no-gi championships.  Rodolfo would go on to win the Absolute title however, beating Rafael Mendes in the finals.
