MMA legend, Dan "The Beast" Severn (99-16-7), earned his 99th career victory over the weekend with a submission victory over Aaron Garcia at KOTC: Texas.
At 53 years of age, Severn hasn't lost since 2009, and hasn't suffered a stoppage loss in over five years.

That would be the most epic 100th win ever.
Avenging your greatest loss. If anyone doubts that The Beast would beat Royce, you’ve gotta be joking. He’s stayed immensely more active, and if you watch the first fight, you can see that he had no experience in fighting at that point, just wrestling.

Best rec this year. Kudos.

Jules: Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.
Severn = Respect.

Dude obviously has far more than 100 wins, but they are on smaller shows and off the record
His real record, no one probably knows except for Severn and I doubt he kept track. He also has some worked victories currently on his resume though.
Regardless of his strength of competiton
99-16-7 is Goddamn impressive.
No losses since 2009 and no stoppage losses in over 5 years.
Learn JiuJitsu, it's fun.
arent a lot fo these wins on smaller shows works?
i have heard this a few different times and seen some videos of him fighting guys he had fought a few times before and beaten a few times before and they looked very much like works
Matsunaga from U Japan and both Shannon Ritch fights were works
but those are the only I know, I am sure there are more. I doubt they make up a considerable percentage of his career. On his official record anyway.
Its pretty difficult to confirm but pretty much any fight where Dan Severn uses a german suplex is a guaranteed work minus the Macias fight (and even that was rumored to be one for awhile). Its a huge number of his fights.

I wish I could be half as awesome as Severn when I'm 50.

Severn facing Royce...
Would also give him the record of oldest UFC competitor. I think he deserves it.
how could they do it though? I don't know if an athletic commission would allow a 185lbs man fighta 230+lbs man
someone needs to create a 'severn pyramid of greatness'

I saw a fight of his in 2008..
It looked a bit fishy, his opponent barely threw a punch while Severn held him against the cage for 15 minutes.
Wonder how many of his wins are works

Plenty of folks have brought up that there are some works in his record, thought I’d add in that a fighter acquaintance that I know who fought Severn claims he’s a DIRTY fighter. Any of the nasty little wrestling tricks you might have heard of before were among a laundry list of things that my buddy had done to him in the fight. I take everything I heard from a beaten fighter in regards to the one who bested him with a grain of salt, but it wouldn’t surprise me if an old dog like Severn brought a little bit of that NHB into the cage with him.

Is your buddy just mad that Severn tickled his face a bit with the stache?

One would imagine that it’s probably a little bit of both. lol

All kidding aside, such an impressive guy. Note to Tito and other fighters: if you want to keep fighting, follow the path this guy has taken. War Severn!

By far my favorite fighter...
In the early days anyway. My mom had a blackbox growing up so I had free ppv. Channel 43 I watched ufc 1, and never missed a event until they took it off tv there for awhile. But I still saw some that I rented from the video store. Anyway that severn vs gracie fight lasted like 45 min is one of my best mma memories even though Dan lost. Is love to see nothing more than for this to be the main event and the final fight for both fighters. This would sell.
