Anthony Njokuani vs. Andre Winner Set for UFC 132
The UFC announced a lightweight matchup today for UFC 132 in Las Vegas in July, featuring two of the division's most dynamic strikers: TUF 9 runner-up, Andre Winner and Anthony Njokuani.
If names like Condit, Cruz, Wandy and Leben on the card weren't guaranteed fireworks, the latest bout should convince you: "Get ready for what should be a standup war as verbal agreements are in for Andre Winner VS Anthony Njokuani July 2nd," said UFC president Dana White.
Winner looks to break free from a .500 record in the UFC after getting choked out by Dennis Siver at UFC 122 back in November, while Njokuani looks for his first UFC victory after dropping a decision to fellow muay thai specialist, Edson Barboza last month at UFC 127.
Here's how the UFC 132 card is shaping up:
-Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber (bantamweight championship)
-Wanderlei Silva vs. Chris Leben
-Carlos Condit vs. Dong-Hyun Kim
-Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller
-Tito Ortiz vs. Ryan Bader
-Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman
-George Sotiropoulos vs. Evan Dunham
-Erik Koch vs. Cub Swanson
-Anthony Njokuani vs. Andre Winner

Holy shit.
I’m thinking Njokuani, Winner looked good on the feet against the Roli Delgados of the world but Njokuani is on another level. Great fight though. Maybe Njo/Pearson if he wins?

yea but Njoukani has poor defense against spin attacks
see: Jewtusko, Barboza
True, but Anthony Njoukani has the reach advantage, plus fast hands and feet...Winner is going to sleep

When
has Winner ever shown great spinning strikes anyway?

I think...
that anthony has the technical advantage but andre’s got the power advantage, this fight will probably be another fun kickboxing match but the fucked up thing is, both these guys, while exciting, are both coming off losses so its a good chance the loser gets cut unless its the most awesome fight ever.
Goodbye, Andre.

The bottom 4 fights would be considered a stacked Fight Night

Cruz is guaranteed fireworks? As in Dominick Cruz?
I love this fight though, especially since they easily could have cut Njokuani since he’s 1-3 in his last four. This is probably must win for both guys, so I’m really hoping he picks up a win and sticks around.

You just WAR'd like seventy different MMA fighters.
