Jake Ellenberger Replaces Brian Foster, Faces Sean Pierson at UFC 129

Jake Ellenberger has agreed to replace the injured Brian Foster and fight Sean Pierson on short notice at UFC 129 in Toronto a week from Saturday.  The UFC announced the switch late yesterday.  Ellenberger most recently took a razor-thin split decision over the unheralded Carlos Eduardo Rocha at UFC 126, and is likely looking to put himself in the good graces of the UFC brass by taking a short-notice fight.  Pierson, meanwhile, who recently quit his job as a police offer in Toronto to become a full-time fighter, will look to establish himself in the UFC's welterweight division against a tough veteran in Ellenberger.

Jake Ellenberger (24-5)
Win Carlos Eduardo Rocha - split decision - UFC 126
Win John Howard - TKO (doctor stoppage) - UFC on Versus 2
Win Mike Pyle - TKO (punches) - UFC 108
Sean Pierson (11-4)
Win Matt Riddle - unanimous decision - UFC 124
Win Ricky Goodall - TKO (punches) - W1 New Ground
Win Fabio Holanda - KO (punches) - Wreck MMA Fight for the Troops
