Video: Brock Lesnar on Life After Fighting

Former UFC heavyweight champ has only had 7 professional MMA fights since starting his career in 2007 but he's making no secret that his heart is on his farm with his family. Brock Lesnar, who fights Junior dos Santos in June, will turn 34 in July. He spoke to Mike Straka about his desire to retire:
"I'm planning my retirement every day. My heart and soul is on the farm. I got two young boys and a young daughter and a beautiful wife at home that I just love to be around and I want to raise my kids and just be Joe "Farmer" Jones and if I can spark some other opportunities along the way. But that's really who I am, when it comes down to it, I'm just the kid from Webster, South Dakota that thinks he's the meanest S.O.B. on the planet."

On a side note... thinking about retirng

before your career, let alone your legacy, so soon into your MMA stint makes me frown with disinterest in your future fights Mr.Brock. Sure ill watch them, but youll be nothing more than that REALLY big heavyweight ..chickenshit.. Pun Intended

Spoken like a man without a family to take care of. Retirement planning is INCREDIBLY important, especially for pro athletes who only have a five to ten year window to make their money. I applaud Brock Lesnar for being one of the few athletes farsighted enough to plan for his future after his competitive career is over.

spoken like a brokester

you think at this point, brock doesnt have enough money/popularity to support his family for years to come? When he joined for the ufc he stated himself he wasnt in it for the money.. to think brock already doesnt have a form of financial support is ludacris… Also, Brock didnt state he was looking at business opprotunities etc. Hes talking about RETIRING not making money in retirement… Brock can push his persona as far as Hulk Hogan has, he is focusing on the RELAX part of his life.. life on the farm isnt going to be bringing him in the dollars hes currently raking in.. but a man like Brock needs something to do.. hes not going to retire and watch tv drinking beers… hes going to work the farm hes going to live life as an honest hardworking man.. Which is what bothers me….. a person who shouldnt generally be invested on the thought of retiring a sport he just stepped into is worrying more on how he can relax and live after hes done with the UFC, when he should be worried about was hes doing in the UFC NOW and add to his Legacy.

Not surprised. I’ll enjoy his remaining fights.

I tend to be biased towards strikers . . . exciting strikers.

Well here comes the argument that he’s bored of the sport already. Just like wrasslin’. Football.

It’ll be convenient to mark this as to why Dos Santos will beat him.

Meanest SOB

I like how he always has to throw that line in there. Meanest S.O.B. on the planet.

it used to baddest man on the planet but....

After Cain handled him he couldn’t keep saying that. So now its “meanest”.
Being proud to be mean doesn’t impress me much.

His shadowboxing at the end

Though done jokingly, says alot about his standup (or lack thereof).

Yikes!

Brock’s heart better be 100% into the fight with JDS at fight time otherwise Brock may be retiring a great deal sooner than he plans. JDS is not a guy you want to fight with your heart and soul on the farm.

Wow guys, trying to determine his mindset from a 1 minute clip is as bad as

voting for a political candidate based on their commercial.

I'd change my name to Mr. Carrano.

i agree

but what else can u take from it? Retiring means retiring to me, no matter how u look at it, hes planning on retiring from a sport he just dipped his feet into.

That's a dangerous mindset for a fighter.....

When you are fighting looking for a way to quit fighting it’s a dangerous place to be. It’s a good way to get hurt. Brock better get his shit together or Cigano will blast his head off.

Not douchey enough for a Kindle yet.
