Michael Johnson vs. Edward Faaloloto Added to UFC on Versus 4

TUF 12 runner-up Michael Johnson will return to the Octagon in June when he takes on Hawaiian native, Edward Faaloloto in a lightweight bout at UFC on Versus 4 in Pittsburgh. Johnson was a favorite to win the 12th season of TUF, but dropped a competitive decision to Jonathan Brookins at the finale. Faaoloto, a student of Chris Leben, made his Zuffa debut WEC 52 last November, but suffered a TKO loss to Anthony Njokuani.

This card
Could make my dick flaccid after seeing the Arianny Playboy shoot. The only fight on there that I have hope of being remotely interesting is Lauzon vs. Warburton.

But im guessing the only main card one is Barry-Kongo, maybe Lauzon fight if they cant find any other big names

Gamburyan/Griffin is battle of the LWs who couldn’t hack it cutting 10 unnecessary pounds. It might be interesting to see them against someone established at 145, but as is, this is just a crap LW fight done 10 pounds lighter.
Stevenson… I like the guy, but he is dead inside since losing to VelociPenn. It’s just going to be depressing watching him get beaten again and this time at an even lower weight class.

It’s a free card so you can’t really complain about it. If it were a ppv I would be pissed. They definitely need to add one more semi big name though.
J-Lau fights are always awesome.
He comes out and goes supernova for a round and a half and if he doesn’t win it’s a contest to see if he can survive the last round and a half. Never boring, not even a little bit.
I really hope this gets a Main event and Co Main Event

Johnson can fix his gas tank issues. He’s like a lightweight Rashad, who gasses by the 2’nd round instead of the 3’rd.

When only Pat Barry and Curt Warburton have wins in their most recent fights.

I'll withhold judgement until the main card is figured out
But Barry / Kongo is a good match-up. Even though he’s on a 3 fight skid, I could still see the Tyson Griffin possibly getting a main card spot; after all, Gamburyan was the most recent #1 FW contender.

fighters don’t have to come off wins for the fights to be exiting. besides, those that are on losing streaks should have a little fire under their ass knowing they could be cut.

The Njokuani fight is pretty telling though,
just watched it for the first time.

He actually started out pretty well, showing some decent punching technique, solid wrestling, and decent mat skills. Njokuani was just too much though, he started to get his timing and range on the feet, and just started assaulting Falo with all 8 points. Punch combos, knees from the Thai Plum, kicks, and finally a clinch elbow that dropped Edward.
Kinda shitty that the kid had to fight Njokuani in his 3’rd pro bout. Not sure if he’s a great prospect, but he looked pretty good for a 3-0 guy going up against one of the best LW strikers currently in MMA.

Remember when people were saying the UFC should use the WEC as a minor league of sorts?
It looks like they’re doing just that but without the WEC brand name.
