Good
I still dislike Starnes for that awful performance against Quarry. Probably because I havent seen a fight of his since then, but still the dude sucks
Cote looking a bit chubby there
I’ve always thought he should’ve dropped to 170.
Cote writes a blog on a french website (rds.ca) and he described in detail all he has to do to get to 185 pounds, he says cuts aren’t easy for him, his body doesn’t drop weight that easily. To summarize what he said in that blog, he goes up to around 215 pounds in between fights, he loses the first 15 pounds in his first two months of training for a fight, then he cuts the remaining 15 pounds in the last two days by limiting his water and food intake.
But yeah, I agree with you that if he had a better diet and kept his weight around 200 pounds in between fights, he should be able to make 170, but it’d take a lot of work, and he doesn’t strike me as the type of guy that likes to work that hard in training…
Ahh Kaleb Starnes
That picture shows him doing what he does best; back peddling with his hands up. I was hoping Cote could finish this fight and get back into the big leagues. I agree that he could most likely make 170. If Nate is talking about it, there’s no way Cote couldn’t. He’d hold some good power at 170.
