Dave "Pee Wee" Herman will make his UFC debut in June at UFC 131 against Joey Beltran, not Rob Broughton as originally reported. The UFC announced the booking today.

Beltran collapsing after the Barry fight. I did not expect him to survive that last round.

I can’t see how the judges gave the fight to Barry when he lost 29-28 in my mind.

Herman should be the favorite I think but Beltran is as tough as they come.

For two were close I thought while Pat did more damage with the kicks Joey controled more of the fight.

Seems so simple to say something so base. Barry lacks stand up. His throws were horrible, no combinations and he didn’t have any dominating presence in the octagon.

Barry has no killer instinct
But Beltran essentially couldn’t stand up after the final bell.

It's a matter of quality over quantity.
Pat landed some hard strikes from range, whereas Beltran landed a large volume of weak strikes against the cage.

He'll probably be a heavy underdog.
Beltran could do it…but as incredibly durable as he is his offense sucks something awful. I can see how he survives to a decision but I can’t envision him winning.

Just saying Beltran is dangerous and he shouldn’t be slept on. Barry and Meat pack some real power in there punches and they couldn’t put Joey away so i don’t think Herman will.

You're getting your adjectives mixed up.
Beltran isn’t a heavy hitter, at least not any moreso than any other HW. Resilient? Yes. Dangerous? Not even close.

Because Beltran's resume is littered with great fighters, right?
I respect how tough he is. I was on here after the fight telling people not to hate on Barry for not finishing him because Beltran’s chin is otherworldly. He’s just not a very good fighter offensively or defensively (chin aside). Not sure what’s so tough to understand about that.

His record isn't any better than Hermans.
Were in understanding I’m just saying from what I know about Herman he should win I just don’t think he’s gonna walk through Beltran. He’s got a solid top game for the lower tier guys and a great chin and he sits on his punches. I’m not saying he’s great by any stretch just that I don’ t know if Herman is that much better than he is.

He is what he is – a durable guy that will keep coming forward, but ultimately lose. You are greatly overrating Beltran, likely because you’re more familiar with him.

True I am more familiar with him. But I don't see how I've over rated him.
He’s been in there with guys that I think are tougher than Pee Wee has fought. I’m not saying he’s a world beater I just don’t think Pee WEE will walk through him.
