Bloody Elbow Exclusive: UFC's Dan Hardy Responds to Chris Lytle's Acceptance of Challenge

Upon hearing the news of Chris Lytle's willingness to shoot it out with him, Dan Hardy told Bloody Elbow why he wants to step into the cage with Lytle. "That's exactly why I'm a fan of Mr Lytle, and thats exactly why the fans love him. He has the attitude all fighters should have, come to fight or don't come at all." Hardy expanded on his motivations for wanting a fight with Lytle "I'm sick of worrying about records and rankings, it takes the fun out of it for me. I just want fights that the fans will talk about in years to come. Old school shootouts, blood, sweat and tears, death or glory."

While both fighters are coming off losses this bout has the potential to be all out warfare between two men who are not afraid to lay it all on the line. "The Outlaw" and "Lights Out" may be on the other side of contention at this moment in time but with Lytle being the record holder for "Fight Night" bonuses and Hardy vowing to go out on his shield in a blaze of glory, this has the makings for an exciting matchup.

it drives me crazy when MMA fighters try to act like you have to stand and bang or else you’re not a real fighter. go be a boxer or a kickboxer. i hope lytle takes him down and submits him.
