Former WEC bantamweight champ Brian Bowles dropped Damacio Page with a hard punch then quickly locked in a guillotine choke for the KO finish in the first round at UFC on Versus 3.
Page came out aggressive landing punches and forcing Bowles back against the cage. Page landed a flying knee then followed up with punches. Bowles threw some hard shots but Page blocked them. Page winged punches but Bowles defended and countered with a hard right that dropped Page. He didn't take long once he had Page hurt and locked in the guillotine choke. Bowles had to tell the ref to stop the fight when Page passed out.
Former WEC champ Brian Bowles made his UFC debut in his first fight since losing his belt to Dominick Cruz last year. Cruz is now the first UFC bantamweight champ. Bowles beat Page by guillotine choke in 2008. Bowles was 5-1 in the WEC.
Page entered the fight coming off a loss to Demetrious Johnson. He won two fights prior to that and his overall WEC record was 3-2.
