Can’t wait to see Jake absorb some Kyokushin Karate all over his face parts! This is going to be a bludgeoning of the highest order.

I am rooting for GSP
However Shields being at +365 makes me very tempted to bet on him and pull the upset.
Jules: Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.
Here’s to hoping “Pride of El Salvador” gets a win & makes the broadcast

2 things about this card I don't like
1. That Brilz/Vlad is on the main card over Diaz/MacDonald
2. The Brilz/Vlad fight is over the Machida/Randy fight
by ANDERSONS GOT THE JUICE on Mar 27, 2011 3:29 PM EDT reply actions
my understanding is that Brilz/Vlad is the swing bout (i.e. Fitch/Thiago at UFC 100) that would actually be scheduled AFTER the two title fights if Bocek/Henderson and Machida/Couture go the distance.
"Although detractors decry it as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally f***ing awesome form of human cockfighting"
I have no clue why Brilz/Matyushenko would be over the Couture/Machida fight but I’m guessing the reason it is on the main card over Diaz/MacDonald is because the Brilz fight has the potential to be a snoozer and could make for a pretty bad lead in to the PPV.

Grammar
I’m more impressed with Georges grammar!
He said to Rogan training was going “well”. If I had a penny every time a native English speaker said training was going “good” I’d have enough for a coffee!
I'm from Canada, and they think I'm slow eh!
Ohhhhh
I just watch Shields!
“Camp is going good”!
War GSP!
I'm from Canada, and they think I'm slow eh!
Whats the issue with his saying good? Its very common. Language is created and evolves though how people actuality use it, not by some rules in a book. Like when people say I’am doing good, instead of well. Good is clearly winning the battle and at some point it will became accepted usage and be taught that way.
I am free because I choose to be so-Me
Agreed
It seems to me most people say good. Anyway I don’t really give a shit if people like the way I speak. If your that damn anal about grammar that saying good instead of well bothers you than chances are your a douche and I wouldn’t want to be talking to you anyway……not saying your a douche simboy, just saying in general for a lot of people.
I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fucking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you!

Every fighter GSP fights in the most dangerous he has ever faced. He says the same thing every time.
I am free because I choose to be so-Me
Jon Jones needs to visualize his success
GSP needs to think he’s going into the biggest fight of his life every time.
There’s not really anything wrong with either
Conducting an experiment on knocking people out in particular ways would be unethical.
Sometimes I honestly wonder if MMA fans have ever
competed for anything, in their entire lives. And no I’m not interested in hearing about your high school football career on junior varsity (no disrespect). GSP has to visualize what’s at stake. Delusion is a healthy element of sports competition. If GSP doesn’t believe Shields is the most dangerous fighter he’s ever faced, he won’t respect him. Some fighters respond in different ways to preparation, and this is how GSP responds: the honest belief that his opponent is good enough to beat him if he makes a mistake. Everyone is counting Shields out, and I’m certainly one of them, but St. Pierre is not an idiot. He’s the one that has to go out there and physically prove he’s better. And Jake Shields is no pushover. If Henderson couldn’t put him away, GSP knows he’s probably in for a five rounder, and that’s a long time for Shields, the guy who RNC’ed multiple Mundials champ Leo Santos in under 2 minutes…the same Leo Santos that flying armbarred GSP in less than one…for Shields to get this fight to the ground where the threat of being submitted is absolutely real.

submissions magically become far less effective when your getting punched and elbowed in the face. Its funny how that works.

it's* funny how people act like
Shields isn’t a threat on the ground just like it’s* funny how people don’t know what a contraction is in the 21st century. No, Shields tooling Santos in a grappling match isn’t particularly relevant in MMA, but ignoring it undermines the threat Jake possesses on the ground. GSP should and will win IMO, but I think people overrate his jiu jitsu based off the Penn rematch, which isn’t all that telling given the fact that Penn was battered before GSP starting cutting up his guard.

I’m in no way saying Jake is not a threat on the ground, but I don’t see him threatening GSP because the only way they will end up there is if GSP choses to be there and is comfortable with it…..maybe in the later rounds when they are sweaty and Shields is already tired and beat up.

I think GSP will just do the Koscheck jab ‘em till they die inside thing. You can’t beat him just by being better in one area. You have to be able to make him fight in your realm. So far, nobody has been able to force him to be somewhere he didn’t want to be. Until someone can do that, the challengers will just be looking for their punchers chance.
"an excellent example of why most MMA "journalism" is a joke. Pseudonyms like "toxic" and shitty writing like that dopey article"--- Joe Rogan.
Its how he motivates himself. I don’t care what he tells himself if he keeps fighting like he does. At least with that attitude he won’t under estimate anybody and have a Serra repeat.

u really think he over looked serra
this was when gsp would actually entertain fans … now he just waits for 25 min to go home and collect his checks … i mean hey its great for him … it just sucks for people who like to watch exciting fights … gsp is not that guy … he isnt a silva or jones who can deliver spectacular finishes
Some people enjoy watching amazing technique executed almost flawlessly. I guess you would rather watch them standunbangin right?
I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fucking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you!
always to the extreme
flawless … yah he looked flawless when he head dan hardy in that armbar and had to later ask renzo what he was doing wrong … its an simple armbar and he didnt show amazing tech or exc flaw
im going to break down gsp’s last few opponents later on and show how its been all marketing and none of them really had a chance of beating him … cus his opponents aren’t nearly as dangerous as the ufc would have you believe
So Koscheck, Fitch, Penn, and Alves aren’t dangerous?
I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fucking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you!
thanks for not admitting gsp isnt flawless tech
since you cant argue with the truth of my first statement
no, never, no, lol
its coming soon … just hold on tight … its going to get bumpy for gsp nut huggers

No body is perfect but his technique is as close as it gets. As for that armbar, the arm was hyperextended and most people would have tapped, Hardy is just a tough guy and I’d be willing to put money on the fact that his elbow was fucked up as a result of not tapping.
So your saying none of the guys I listed are dangerous? If so you are delusional. If you don’t like GSP based on personality what ever, but there is no way you can say the guy is not super talented. It seems to me that you just hate the guy and don’t want to give any credit.

If he stops believing it, that’s when another Serra-type beatdown happen. GSP has to think that every fight he’s got is his most dangerous to date. Besides, it’s been a very long time since one of his opponents had a very clear advantage in an aspect of MMA. Shields is no joke on the ground, if he latches onto an arm like GSP did to Hardy a few times, he won’t fail at getting the tap out of it. GSP better be careful on the ground!
Hoping we get
The Jabouin and Menjivar fights on Facebook. And I’m expecting them to put the MacDonald one on there as well. Fearing they may put the Watson fight on FB because of his TUF stint though.
Since Cro Cop is on his way out...
would it be too silly to start calling Pierson ‘CanadaCop’?
