It wasn't easy, but Christian Morecraft finally put away Sean McCorkle near the end of the second round of their heavyweight fight with a standing guillotine.
McCorkle threatened early with a takedown but Morecraft threatened the 6'7 heavyweight with a kneebar attempt that looked close to finishing the fight. Morecraft unleashed some big ground and pound from top position after McCorkle escaped and closed out the first round by unleashing some massive elbows from top position.
McCorkle was hurting early to start the second round and he ate a big flurry of punches from Morecraft. Morecraft's momentum was briefly stalled after an accidental low blow but when the action reset, the fight was all but over. McCorkle attempted a desperate shot but had no luck getting the fight to the ground. Shortly thereafter Morecraft locked up a standing guillotine and put McCorkle to sleep.
Both men were in need of a victory tonight having each come off stoppage losses to "The Skyscraper" Stefan Struve respectively.
