Edson Barboza took a unanimous decision over Anthony Njokuani at UFC 128 on the preliminary Spike TV broadcast.
Both men showed exciting and high level kickboxing technique in a back and forth war where both men landed their share of dramatic shots.
But it was Barboza who landed the biggest ones to take 30-27 on all three cards. He put an exclamation point on it with a spinning kick to the head that stunned Njokuani in the waning seconds of the third round
The fight started with Barboza landing early and hard and hurting Njokuani. But Njokuani came back late in the first and for most of the second round. Barboza then made a late surge in the second to steal the round.
In the final round Njokuani stunned Barboza with a knee to the face but Barboza came back to dominate the final moments.
This had to please UFC boss Dana White who airs free fights on Spike TV to sell more Pay Per View orders immediately following.
If these guys don't get Fight of the Night fans have a huge treat ahead of themselves on the main card.
