All 24 fighters participating in UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones will first step on the scale at the AmeriHealth Pavilion at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and we'll have the results right here at BloodyElbow.com. In the main event, UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and whiz kid, Jon Jones will both need to make the light heavyweight title limit of 205 pounds.

Is there any word on Shogun’s health? If he has cardio issues I don’t know what to think about this fight.

With GSP Muay Tai Coach for this fight. (I forgot what he name was lol) This makes the fight a little more interesting now.

I really think theres some reactionary response to all the Jones hype
where Shogun has become this super human with ungodly punching power and super human recouperation from ACL injury.
Bader hits HARD. and it was a bigtime punch he threw. Bones wasn’t phased.

Jones looks like a beast
The size advantage Jones enjoys over Shogun is striking in that picture. His frame could easily fill out to 240-250. Just look at his brother, Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Arthur Jones (6-3, 313). And it’s not just how physically large Jones appears to be. It’s also the fact that he’s got freakishly long arms to boot. As a physical specimen you couldn’t ask for much more and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger light heavyweight in MMA. I’m already looking forward to Jones testing the waters at heavyweight, regardless of what happens against Shogun. Jones is only 23 and relatively new to the sport. His best days are clearly ahead of him and I think matches against Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos would be very intriguing.
Phil Davis is bigger. Forrest is probably bigger.
