Remember that Steven Soderbergh action flick that Gina Carano was slated to star in?
Well, here is the latest photo from the set of Haywire (formerly known as Knockout, because, let's face it, Knockout is way too MMA gimmicky for Hollywood to bank on) featuring Carano in a Tomb Raider wet suit laying the beat down on her co-star Ewan McGregor.
Haywire (rumored budget of $25 million) does boast some big name actors, such as the aforementioned Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton, plus Soderbergh knows how to make a decent film. Though it does have, *gulp* Channing Tatum (or is it C-Tate? I can never remember) in it. Tatum's ability to ruin any promising project is quickly becoming well documented.
Carano last fought for Strikeforce in August of 2009, where she lost to Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos.
Scott Coker recently spoke on his belief that Carano would return to fighting in 2011.

MMAWeekly.com sources have indicated that a tentative plan for her to return on June 18 in Dallas is still the target, though nothing has been finalized.
The movie is coming out in August.

I’m a little surprised that she wasn’t cutting weight for the sake of the movie. I’m sure, even as seen in the pictures, she’s very strong and in great shape, and I happen to think she’s very attractive, but I wonder how it will all play on the big screen. Like, are her looks “Hollywood” enough, you know?

C’mon, this is a Soderbergh movie. This is an aesthetic choice. If he wanted her to be at 145 she would be at 145. Unlike MMA or sports they actually do use PED’s and HGH in Hollywood.

Ewan McGregor took a fight out of his weight class………price is right music
I read somewhere that these pics are from when they were reshooting a few scenes several months after the original filming, and she gained the weight in the between time. Don’t get people saying they like her looking curvy though, IMO the extra weight has smoothed out the curves she had. That wetsuit is not flattering.
