"Martin Kampmann and I are such good friends. We go at it in the gym everyday why the hell not go out and get paid for it. (Kampmann) would be cool with fighting me. If it was for the title or for a chance to fight for the title, it would be foolish for us not too. And cause of bunch of drama and crying "oh he's my buddy". Well you should see what I do to my buddy in the gym and he does to me if he gets half the damn chance. (Like) catch me on a tired day and beat the sh*t out of me and vice versa. Let's just go get paid."

He knows if I move off to one side what I'm about to do and I know the same thing. It might even be a boring fight. And then afterwards, be like 'Oh you got me pretty good ...f*ck you too'. And then it's over. I've seen some pretty sick brother fights before and I'd pay for a ticket for that."

Two things.
I don’t like Jake but I think it’s funny that he calls out shields for laying on people, despite the fact that when Pyle faced off against him he got submitted by rear naked.
and two, LOL at Pyle considering himself top 5.

I do not like Jake Shields but I think it’s funny that Mike Pyle calls him out on laying on people when he himself got submitted by Shields.

It just reads to me like you meant to say “I don’t like Mike but I think it’s funny that he calls out shields” So i thought you got his name wrong.

the whole “friends vs. friends” thing seems destined to be the next great message board subject. My opinion is it’s your career, do whatever you want, I can see somebody fighting a friend for decent money as Pyle describes or I can see somebody not wanting to fight a friend, it’s up to the fighter.
What I do not want to hear a fighter do is complain about their place in an org if they chose not to fight a friend in a logical rankings match-up. That is your decision, you are a profighter, no org has any obligation or duty to bend over backwards to accommodate your every whim. It’s not “punishment” it’s a business decision you made and have to deal with the fallout from it.

do you need to advertise automatic weapons???, then cry when someone uses them…. it disgusts me to see advertising for weapons on a sports show… wake up people.

Do you need to get hysterical. Guns aren’t evil villians to be blamed. They are tools, it is the people behind them who are to blame. Guns are only as safe as their user, and the vast majority of owners are safe with their guns.

true, but there are literally millions of guns in circulation in the US
That small percentage of people who don’t use these tools properly end up killing 10,000 people a year.
Are you suggesting that there should be more limits to gun access, thus preventing these evil people from getting them? I’d be okay with that.

I never suggested that
10,000 is a tiny number in comparison to leading causes of death; instead of being hysterical over such a number, we should be working to reduce real causes of death. We shouldn’t be doing anything to prevent gun access, as that is not the problem. We just need to teach responsible gun use
