UFC 126 Open Workout Highlights on The Fight Fix

As we stated yesterday, host Dustin Green is live in Las Vegas for UFC 126 and is bringing you daily recaps of each day's action in the lead up to the event itself.

Today Green brings us his footage from the UFC 126 open workout. There are more sparring exhibitions than anything else, but I did get a quick glimpse of Anderson Silva and it appears his speed, movement and reflexes are still intact. We won't really know, though, until fight day.

I find something odd and unappealing about Vitor Belfort's "speech", but it's his open workout and he can do with it what he wants.

Ryan Bader and Forrest Griffin, at a minimum, look game and prepared for the task at hand. Ditto for their opponents. Those should be fantastic scraps.

Wow.....

At first I was like…everyone doesn’t know what they’re are taking about, Vitor being “shaken” and etc. but now I’m converted.

1) This fight is pretty much the end or the beginning of Vitor.
2) Ring rust.
3) The fight is against Silva, who Vitor hears is unstoppable everyday.
4) That staredown….
5) That Vitor speach, and those….eyes.

We’ve seen this before. I don’t think Vitor is feeling too good about this fight.

A few problems

Only point number 2 is factual.
1)No one knows what’s going to happen so point 1 is speculation.
2)Fair enough
3)I don’t see what that has to do with anything. Who is telling him this? You think all his training partners tell him every day he’s going to lose or something?
4)He looked fine to me. Didn’t back down or flinch.
5)We don’t know what he said in the speech aside from showing respect. It’s not like he said he’s going to lose and is afraid. He always preaches when there’s a crowd, not unusual.
What have we seen before exactly? Could you be more specific?
