Comcast are a bunch of assholes…they infest central PA as well. At least you can still pay to get Showtime, amirite?
yeah I get showtime in hd, the only recent ufc fight I got in hd was the prelims on ion tv if thats any indication
of the shit that is comcast.
For the last ufc I called and they argued with me that it was availabe in hd so I told them to order it for me and I still only got standard def. I’m sure they’ll screw up the bill too and charge me for the hd broadcast that doesn’t exist, so thats another 2 hrs on the phone with some lady in the caribbean somewhere.
Still waiting for fios to get done over here, its getting close to my area. My neighbor had a shitty experience with satellite so I’m avoiding that for now.
I'm watching live
Man this production quality is weak. Also, i think they stole my bathroom scale, what’s up with that thing??

Recording it at home. Hopefully they start doing them right with the main event fighters weighing in last. And they really need to let someone other than Jimmy Lennon Jr do them.

Is that Marc Stevens on the prelims the same guy who got McKenzitined on TUF?

Tough to watch
Would it be possible for Bas and the co-host to have less chemistry??? Eek.
Also, another fighter (Stevens) just went over by 0.5 but the other guy just said it was ok…

Good test for Shane
Like this matchup, they need to give Rosario a real opponent, I think he might be legit..

warpath has lost a lot of fights but he is tough to finish. a win is a win. i dont think discounting a win makes sense. brett deserves to be in the tournament. he lost to fedor and overeem. not exactly chopped liver
Werdum beat Fedor, Dos Santos beat Werdum, Joaquim Ferreira beat Dos Santos. Therefore Ferreira is WAAAAY better than Fedor. Keep MMA math alive!
Strikeforce weigh-ins
always so deflating…
I don't want to say he's dirty, but Forrest Griffin looks like directly after a workout his crotch might resemble a cajun swamp.

how so?
Because there isn’t cheesy generic “metal” music in the background and Joe Rogans horse voice?
Because they are poorly run and instead of building anticipation they always remind you how little Strikeforce means or how little impact their fighter’s have with the fans.
It’s the exact opposite of what you want from something like this.

I think you’re protesting too much.
SF has only been around for a little over a year. It’s not going to be the same or as big as the UFC.
If you as a fight fan, aren’t excited because the budget is smaller… maybe you’re not as big of a fight fan as you think, and more of a UFC fan.
Just sayin’
Strikeforce has been around for little over a year? Try 26 years.

as a national promotion
with international fighters = 1 year.
Do you equate pre zufia ufc with the UFC of now?
with international fighters? what the fuck does that have to do with weighins? you don’t have to have world class talent signed to half a half decent weigh in, and build some buzz.

This is a BS argument right now. Who cares how long they have been around, weigh ins are a great opportunity to build some buzz and hype for the card. you don’t need to be around for 10 years to have that figured out, the blueprint has been laid out forever, if they started yesterday they still would be missing an opportunity by doing it this way.
I dont know. weigh ins never did much for me.
i thought the weigh in was fine. who needs fake animosity? If you want that watch the wwe

I hate Kenny Rice more then I hate any other MMA commentator/personality in the history of this sport.
The only contenders are Damon “The Dog” Perry and Bill Wallace from UFC 1. Both of them were short lived. Kenny Rice won’t leave.
Rogers not what most think
I really can’t express how bad Roger’s looked in his Halifax fight against Warpath. He was slow, sluggish, fat and got his ass kicked. Can you imagine if Warpath was put in over Rogers in this tourney? What would the odds on him winning? 10000:1?
Rogers has a “First half of round one punchers chance”. Nothing more, nothing less.
May as well put Russow or Madsen or Duffee in there.
Holy crap

Fedor’s barely even muffin-toppin’ should i be worried? Fedor losing the gut feels like Samson cutting his hair.

Don't you worry....
it’s just slightly more evenly distributed this time around. A classic Fedor KO/TKO is on the way.

I didnt’ know that Shane DR was that big…..kid is talented and I hope he does well because he could build to be a force for SF someday at HW.
