The NY Times does a great video series on NHL enforcer Derek Boogaard and CTE

This three-part series is a thought-provoking look at the life of NHL hockey enforcer Derek Boogaard and his overdose at 28 on pain pills. His brain was dissected, and showed advanced CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy) which likely would have led to early-onset dementia. The correlation to MMA, with it's repeated head-strikes, is obvious and cautionary.
